Liam Gallagher caused a stir among Oasis fans on Wednesday after teasing a ‘big announcement‘.
The musician, 53, and his brother Noel, 58, have been touring again this year with their very popular reunion shows.
Following Liam’s recent tweet hinting at an announcement, many people believed that additional concert dates – especially for Knebworth – would soon be revealed.
Following their famous 1996 performance at Knebworth, fans were already guessing whether the band might return in 2026, or perhaps hold a 30th anniversary concert at the same venue.
Liam penned on X: ‘Big announcement coming soon keep your eyes peeled.’
A sequence of messages indicated preparation for action: first, ‘Ready’, then ‘Shall I give you another 5 mins’, and finally, ‘Rite this is it we’re going in’.

Fans expressed their frustration online, reacting to another day of trying to purchase tickets on Ticketmaster with comments like: ‘Oh no!!! Another day on Ticketmaster!!! LETS HAVE IT!!‘.
‘See you in Knebworth man, just drop the bomb already.’,
‘I’m joining you for Knebworth and 2026 shows. I’m calling it.’,
‘Knebworth baby.’
So, it turns out it was all just a prank! Honestly, after all the buildup, his big reveal was…well, a bit unexpected. He posted simply: ‘I AM THE FING BCKS.‘ As a lifestyle expert, I’ve seen a lot of reveals, and let’s just say this one was definitely… memorable. Definitely a prank!
There are currently no no new dates for Oasis beyond their confirmed 2025 tour dates.
Although Liam Gallagher hinted at additional concert dates with a puzzling tweet that he soon removed, there hasn’t been any official confirmation yet.
Right after that, on Monday night, Oasis fans said Liam posted – and then removed – a significant clue about the band’s possible plans for 2026.
Liam fuelled the rumour mill by sharing a cryptic message, before swiftly deleting it.
In the message, which was re-shared on X, Liam tweeted the Roman numbers ‘MMXXV11.’
People immediately noticed that the letters suggested Oasis might be making an announcement in November 2025.

Someone speculated that the content references an announcement planned for November 2025, noting that ‘MMXXV11’ resembles 2025 in Roman numerals followed by ’11’, suggesting the eleventh month. They reasoned: ‘It was 2025 in roman numerals with an 11 after it so I’d imagine it’s an announcement in November 2025’;
‘Maybe it’s the year we’ll get a new album.’,
It seems like something is planned for next year, as he’s repeatedly said ‘see you next year’ during this tour. Also, Noel seemed to avoid answering questions about Knebworth next year, suggesting something is in the works.
Regardless of what just happened, it suggests exciting things are on the horizon for the band, which can only mean one thing… Oasis is making a huge comeback, baby!
As a lifestyle expert, I’m hearing whispers from within the music industry that Liam and Noel Gallagher – the brothers behind Oasis – are potentially looking at dates for more shows in 2026. Their recent world tour was a massive success, reportedly bringing in up to £1.2billion! And, if the plans for anniversary concerts at Knebworth go ahead, that could add another £100million to their earnings. It’s exciting news for fans, and it seems like there’s still a lot of life left in the Gallagher story. I’m personally hoping to snag a ticket!
Oh my gosh, you will not believe what I just read! Someone told the Daily Mail that it’s all about the money, of course! After years – years! – of Liam and Noel swearing they’d never, ever play together again, apparently they’ve secretly put some dates on hold. Like, five whole days! They’ve actually *pencilled in* dates for gigs. I’m losing it! It’s happening, I just *know* it!
This is really thrilling news for fans. The original concert in 1996 was incredibly special – it represented the height of the Britpop movement. So, Oasis returning to Knebworth would be a dream come true for their fans.
The plan involves five concerts, promising a spectacular musical event. Fans first enjoyed a reunion tour, and now it seems they’ll have the chance to experience those two shows at Knebworth again.
Following the conclusion of the UK portion of their reunion tour this weekend, Liam seemingly indicated that the band will perform again next year.
The lead singer has strongly suggested the band’s return, fueling speculation about tickets going on sale for concerts at Knebworth next summer.
Before playing their last song, Champagne Supernova, at Wembley Stadium in London, Liam expressed his gratitude to the fans for supporting their reunion tour and making it possible.
He exclaimed: ‘I want to thank all of you for believing in us and helping this band regain its popularity. Champagne Supernova. See you next year!’
People are predicting the group will play at Knebworth again – the same location where they famously performed at the festival of the same name in Hertfordshire back in 1996.
The crowd reacted to the announcement with joyful cheers, and many people expressed hope that they would at last have the chance to see the band.
Last August, Oasis revealed they were getting back together for a tour. This happened 16 years after their well-publicized breakup in 2009.
This happened after Liam’s brother and bandmate, Noel, left the group. Their departure followed a fight they had behind the scenes at the Rock en Seine festival in Paris.
