Gen V Season 2, Episode 5 revealed that Marie Moreau’s abilities are more extensive than simply manipulating blood for attacks. This discovery strengthens the idea that she might be the most powerful super-powered individual in the world of The Boys. It also suggests she could potentially be the one to defeat Homelander.

Gen V Season 2 Episode 5 might have made Marie stronger than Homelander
In Gen V Season 2 Episode 5, “The Kids Are Not All Right”, the series is developing Marie’s abilities to a level that might actually surpass those of Homelander. It seems her powers are growing significantly.
After the events at the end of the last episode, Cate was sent to Elmira after being caught trying to spy on Dean Cipher. When Marie, Emma, and Jordan found out, they attempted to rescue her from the facility. Unfortunately, this was a trap set by Cipher to capture all three of them.
Once he has Marie and her captors in custody, Cipher discloses that he also has Marie’s sister, Annabeth, held in the same location. He brings Marie to Annabeth and proposes a deal: he’ll release both of them if Marie agrees to become his trainee. He remains convinced that Marie has untapped abilities and wants to help her develop them fully. Therefore, he gives her some time to consider his offer.
Eventually, Cate convinces a guard and obtains the keys. She then frees herself and everyone else in the group. Immediately after being released, Marie rushes to find her sister. However, to their dismay, Annabeth is found lifeless on the floor. Overcome with shock, Marie instinctively uses her abilities, causing those nearby to experience nosebleeds and severe headaches. Surprisingly, this also manages to heal Annabeth’s throat wound, bringing her back to life.
This demonstrates that Marie is capable of using blood both as a direct attack and with a more profound level of control. Given that Homelander is fundamentally human despite his abilities, her newly discovered power might be the key to defeating him. Furthermore, if she can control his powers, she could potentially heal everyone on the battlefield indefinitely.
