Reese Witherspoon has revealed her real name.
On Wednesday, the 49-year-old actress was a guest on the newest episode of the Table Manners podcast, hosted by Jessie and Lennie Ware.
During her interview, she discussed everything related to food, sharing details about her favorite mid-day treat and the contents of her refrigerator. She covered all aspects of her kitchen life, from quick bites to what she keeps stocked.
During a conversation about her early years, the actress shared that Reese isn’t her birth name. She explained that she was, in fact, named after her grandmother.
The Legally Blonde star shared that her grandmother died when her mother was very young. However, she was named after her grandmother.
‘My mum always says I’m a lot like her. Her name is Laura Jean Reese. And I’m Laura Jean Reese.’
Shocked, Lennie replied: ‘Oh so Reese isn’t your first name?’
Reese explained, ‘Actually, Laura Jean is my given name,’ and then Lennie chimed in, ‘That definitely sounds like something from the South to me.’
The actress explained: ‘Yeah, we have these double names. These southern girls have double names.’
This follows Reese’s recent post of a seldom-seen picture of her youngest son, Tennessee, who she shares with her former spouse, Jim Toth.
The The Morning Show actress shared a photo on Instagram of herself with her son, as they celebrated his 13th birthday.
She excitedly praised his intelligence in a post celebrating him turning thirteen. She was clearly thrilled to mark this important milestone as he officially became a teenager.
She began: ‘How is it possible that my youngest boy is 13?!’
I’m constantly impressed by how cheerful, funny, and curious he is. I love you very much, Tenn!
In a charming photo, the star of Legally Blonde – recently seen enjoying a rare outing in London with her boyfriend, 57-year-old financier Oliver Haarmann – and her son struck a pose. They were standing on a balcony with a beautiful view, looking out over the water.
The actress was wearing a black dress covered in polkadots, featuring a V-neck. She had also pushed a pair of sunglasses up onto her head.
Standing next to her, her young son was dressed in a light blue button-down shirt and khaki pants, and the mother and son both shared the same, matching smiles.
On social media, lots of Witherspoon’s famous friends – including some who are parents to young children – left heartwarming comments on the picture.

Reese Witherspoon has three children, but only one – Tennessee – shares both of his parents, as he is the child she had with her former spouse, Jim.
She was married to the talent agent for 12 years before they announced their separation in 2023.
Reese Witherspoon has two grown-up children from her marriage to Ryan Phillippe: her daughter, Ava, who is 26, and her son, Deacon, aged 21.
After Witherspoon and Toth completed their divorce in 2023, they decided to share custody of their teenage son. They also agreed to split all costs related to their property in Tennessee equally, and neither party would pay child support.

The source also mentioned that her boyfriend, who is a businessman, is very supportive, and her three children are doing well.
