It’s been going around again, and it’s so bittersweet because it’s resurfaced right after the news about him and Nicole Kidman… I can’t help but listen to it with a totally different feeling now. It’s like the song *knows*.

The song Love Is Hard, penned by someone other than Keith, 57, explores a relationship damaged by silence, poor communication, and arguments that never get resolved.

As a huge fan, I’ve always felt that this song really *gets* what it’s like when a relationship is falling apart. Lines like, ‘Sleepin’ in the same room / But I don’t even hear from you‘, and ‘Would you ever even notice If I didn’t come home this weekend?‘, perfectly show how emotionally distant and disconnected things can become when communication breaks down. It’s so relatable when you feel like you’re barely even seen or heard by the person you’re with.

The song also addresses conflict and unresolved tension.

According to a source who spoke with People on Tuesday, the Academy Award-winning actress is “hurt” because she did not want to get divorced.

The insider also claimed that Nicole ‘didn’t want this and has been fighting to save the marriage.’

Nicole and Keith haven’t been able to spend much time together lately because of their busy work commitments – Nicole was filming, and Keith was on tour. A source previously told the Daily Mail that Nicole was surprised and upset by the separation.

On Tuesday, Nicole submitted for divorce, and a source told the Daily Mail that rumors are circulating that Keith has already begun a relationship with a younger woman who also works in music.
