Verdict on Carnivorous
Recap
The film centers on a diverse group of people who become stuck in a complex network of underground tunnels, where they are pursued by terrifying creatures. To have any hope of getting out, they need to overcome their disagreements and figure out what’s going on.
Best Parts
The idea is captivating and shows a lot of promise, largely because the frightening tunnels and the creatures within them are compelling to watch. Furthermore, there’s a grander, more ambitious story at play, adding a sense of importance and scale.
Worst Parts
Unfortunately, the film’s limited budget prevents it from fully realizing its grand ideas. The special effects, particularly the green screen, are noticeably artificial and disrupt the scary moments, and the computer-generated monsters aren’t as impressive as hoped.
Final Thoughts –Carnivorous struggles to adapt to the ambition.
