The news of a possible split between Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban, after nearly 20 years of marriage, has surprised many in the entertainment industry.
The Academy Award-winning actress, 58, and the musician, 57, are now living apart. A source close to the situation says Kidman was completely surprised by the separation, feeling it came out of nowhere.

The couple’s last photo together
The couple looked distant during their final outing together before news of their split emerged.
The couple most recently went to a FIFA Club World Cup 2025 football game in June, watching US Los Angeles FC play against Esperance Sportive de Tunis from Tunis.

Upon arriving at the Geodis Park stadium in Nashville, Nicole and Keith maintained their distance from one another.

They were last seen together on Instagram on June 25th, when Nicole shared a touching post celebrating their wedding anniversary.

Keith – who typically lavishly praises his wife publicly – simply left a small love-heart emoji on the post.

He also tellingly failed to post his own tribute to Nicole on his Instagram feed.
The day before their anniversary, he posted a collection of photos on social media. The pictures showed him posing on stage while he was on tour.
However, Keith had previously acknowledged the couple’s anniversary online. He shared a photo of them with the message: ‘Forever ❤️ happy anniversary.’
Nicole’s solo appearance at Wimbledon
In July, Nicole attended the Wimbledon 2025 Championships’ final day without her husband.
Instead of being in a typical celebrity box, the superstar sat next to Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour in the Royal Box at Centre Court.
