Matthew McConaughey enthusiastically danced and showed off his unique moves while enjoying Oasis’ concert in London on Sunday with his wife, Camila Alves, from the VIP area.
As a lifestyle observer, I have to say, it was lovely to see the 55-year-old Oscar winner really enjoying himself! He shares three children with the Brazilian-American model, and at Wembley Stadium, he seemed to be having the time of his life, just dancing the night away.
For the outing, Matthew looked classically handsome in a grey flat cap and a brown jacket.
He appeared more joyful than usual while dancing with his wife, Camila, who was wearing a stylish black shirt.
Matthew recently shared the single key to maintaining his 13-year marriage with Camila. He revealed a personal secret that he believes has kept their relationship strong.
The couple tied the knot back in 2012 and are parents to Levi, 17, Vida, 15, and Livingston, 12.
In his newest book, Matthew suggests: ‘The most helpful thing you can do for your marriage. A sure way to improve things, is to replace your king-size mattress with a queen-size bed.’
In a recent interview with Fox News Digital, the Interstellar actor also discussed why he prefers a smaller mattress. He explained the benefits of down-sizing his bedding during the conversation.
He explained that when they visit a friend, the friend has two king-size beds joined together, and all the children sleep together on that bed.
The wife has her side of the bed with a small table, and the husband has his. It’s wonderful having all three children with us, but they’ve quickly grown too big and now sleep elsewhere.
Matthew then explained waking up one day to see how far his wife was from him in their bed.
Then you get ready for bed, wanting to get cozy and…”We need to tuck you in. Meet me about 12 feet away, and I’ll come 12 feet to do that.”
The celebrity recalled thinking, ‘This dn king-size bed is not helping the marriage, man. Get rid of that son of a b.’
We have a queen size bed, so we’re sleeping very close together-shoulder to shoulder. I really believe it’s beneficial for a relationship.
Matthew and Alves first met in 2006 at a West Hollywood nightclub, and they quickly began dating soon after.
After five years of dating, he proposed to the model on Christmas Day. He shared details about this special moment in a previous interview with People magazine.
He explained that the engagement ring was the final present, and he’d deliberately wrapped it in seven boxes so Camila would have to unwrap it multiple times, he said.
She accepted my proposal! I got down on one knee and asked her to marry me and share my last name. It took a moment, but she finally said yes-thankfully.
Matthew and Alves got married in June 2012, exchanging vows during a romantic ceremony held in Austin, Texas.
Several other famous faces joined the celebration, including Reese Witherspoon and Woody Harrelson.
In a recent interview with People magazine, the actor shared that his three children with Alves have helped him grow and improve as a performer. He specifically credited them for making him a better actor.
I’ve found that becoming a parent has actually improved my work as both an artist and an actor. Children experience things with fresh eyes constantly, and that’s been really inspiring.
The Dallas Buyers Club star also shared, ‘Their questions are genuine. Having children has helped me grow as a storyteller.’
In 2021, while on the Australian talk show Today Extra, Matthew shared what he believes is the key to his successful, long-term marriage with Alves.
‘Don’t complicate things unnecessarily,’ the True Detective actor explained. ‘If you’re experiencing success, continue to maintain that positive momentum.’
He then added, ‘If they’re not, deal with them soon so they don’t bubble up and get you later.’
Matthew and his wife have made appearances at glamorous events and walked the red carpet together.
In April of this year, the couple unexpectedly brought all three of their children with them to the 2025 Mack, Jack and Matthew Gala held in Austin.
The actor has been quite active lately and released his new book, Poems & Prayers, on September 16th. He’s been very busy with this and other projects.
According to an official description, this is ‘an inspiring, faith-filled, and often hilarious collection of personal poetry and prayers about navigating the challenges of life and pursuing your true dream-your core belief.’
Matthew is no stranger to writing and released his best-selling memoir Greenlights in 2020.
Regarding his latest book, the celebrity explained to Texas Standard, ‘I realized I was in a situation where I was examining facts and evidence and thinking, “Wow, I’m finding it hard to maintain my beliefs,”’ which was a reflection on his faith.
So, I explained that writing poems and prayers represents high ideals. These are aspirations that don’t always reflect what’s actually happening, but they can actually lead to a deeper understanding of reality. They offer a path towards experiencing something real, even if it starts as something abstract.
He explained, ‘I thought, “Let’s embrace that idea.” Then I discovered a collection of poems and prayers I’d written previously, and I created some new ones as well. This book contains all of that, and I hope it’s something people will appreciate.’
