Flins is a character who deals Electro damage, and his gameplay centers around using his skill and powerful burst attack. Activating his skill puts him in a state where his regular attacks become infused with Electro energy, and he becomes more resistant to being interrupted. He *does* have a normal burst too, but it costs a whopping 80 energy, so it’s just not as useful.

Typically, you’ll want to use the less expensive, quicker special burst over the normal burst unless you have plenty of energy to spare. When playing Flin, the core strategy is straightforward: switch him into battle, activate his skill to change stances, build up energy with regular attacks, and then unleash his special skill followed by his special burst. Keep repeating this cycle, mixing in normal attacks as you wait for his abilities to recharge.

His abilities also increase his Lunar Charge damage and provide additional Elemental Mastery, which strengthens his reactions when he’s teamed up with Hydro or Electro characters. While you may still need to adjust his Energy Recharge depending on your team, this constellation is already a big damage increase and makes his rotation smoother.
C2	Another strong upgrade because it boosts Flins’ normal attack damage while in his special stance. More importantly, when the team is in Ascendant Gleam, his Electro attacks also reduce enemy Electro resistance by 25%. Keeping this basic team composition in mind, you can then adjust things based on the characters you have available.

Flins Premium Team

Currently, the most effective team composition for Flins includes Flins, C6 Aino, Ineffa, and Sucrose. With Aino at C6, you’ll consistently apply Hydro to enemies. Ineffa is also a key player, dealing roughly thirty percent of the team’s damage, offering important protection, and boosting the team’s overall damage output by around twenty percent compared to alternative team members.

At the same time, Sucrose, equipped with the Viridescent Venerer set and Thrilling Tales, significantly increases Flins’ attack power and weakens enemies’ resistance to Hydro and Electro damage. Shinobu and Dori can both provide helpful healing, and Ororon, particularly at C6, can boost your team’s DPS by approximately seven to nine percent.

Even with a tighter budget, Sucrose is still the top support character. This is because she greatly increases elemental mastery, boosts attack power with her Thrilling Tales skill, and reduces enemy resistance overall. Is Flins worth pulling in Genshin Impact

Honestly, if you’re even *thinking* about getting Flins, I totally think you should pull for him. I’ve been playing around with his abilities, and they’re just really fun and feel well-designed. You can play him in a lot of different ways – I’ve been doing quick, mini-bursts of damage, but once you get the hang of his energy, you can really go crazy with those triple burst combos!

He definitely needs a bit more Energy Recharge than some characters, but once you address that, he’s incredibly powerful. What I find particularly impressive is how F2P-friendly he is – it’s really remarkable compared to many other 5-star characters. And if you manage to get his C1, it essentially provides the same advantages as having Ineffa, which greatly increases the options for building his team.

Certainly, the main downsides are that currently, his most powerful artifact set has only one viable option, and he lacks the impressive exploration abilities that some characters from Natlan offer. However, when it comes to actual fighting, his damage output is incredible. He performs well even with simpler builds, keeping pace with top-tier units.
