Luciano Pierre White, son of celebrity chef Marco Pierre White, has closed his restaurant in Surrey following negative reviews and reports of his demanding behavior.
The 31-year-old, whose brother Marco Jr. has faced several legal problems, launched his Italian restaurant, Luciano’s, in Woking in early 2022. However, the restaurant wasn’t successful and officially closed on September 5th, with only £31.94 remaining in its account.
After the chef’s recent restaurant failed, Luciano’s accumulated £100,000 in unpaid taxes. Records also show he owes over £150,000 to 26 different companies and individuals.
Luciano previously tried running two restaurants: one in Dorchester, Dorset, which didn’t last after opening in 2020, and another in Exeter that closed in May 2021. He’s also received a lot of negative feedback from customers online.
Besides owning three restaurants, Luciano also manages the Rudloe Arms, a hotel and restaurant in Wiltshire, close to Bath. His father renovated and originally opened the Rudloe Arms.

I was really shocked to read the reports from May. Apparently, Luciano, whose father achieved incredible things by earning three Michelin stars at such a young age – only 33! – has been getting some pretty harsh criticism. People are saying his behavior towards reviewers was rude, arrogant, and even a little intimidating. It’s especially tough because this is about the restaurant his father helped him get started, and I’m a big fan of both of them.
Marco’s oldest son was accused of providing poor service and being overly controlling about the food choices offered to customers at the Rudloe Arms.
He’s also been accused of sometimes using a different name when interacting with confused customers at the restaurant, which Marco renovated before it opened in 2012.
I’ve been watching Luciano’s journey with Rudloe Arms, his hotel and restaurant near Bath in Wiltshire, with a lot of interest. It’s been tough seeing him navigate things, especially considering he launched three other restaurants right after the pandemic, and unfortunately, they didn’t make it. He’s really giving it his all at Rudloe Arms now.
As a lifestyle expert, I’m seeing a lot of concerning feedback rolling in on TripAdvisor lately. It’s raising some serious questions about the long-term viability of the businesses behind these reviews – people are starting to wonder what the future holds for them.
Luciano didn’t respond to requests for comment. Staff at his Rudloe Arms hotel told the Daily Mail he was traveling and wouldn’t be addressing the criticisms leveled against him or answering questions about his company’s finances.
Last year, Luciano faced legal trouble when one of his restaurants failed, leaving investors with losses of £300,000. Bailiffs were involved due to the unpaid debts.

Marco Pierre White Jr., the son of celebrity chef Marco Pierre White and a former Big Brother contestant, has faced numerous legal issues, and this isn’t a recent development.
The chef’s son, who has had previous legal troubles, was recently held in jail while awaiting sentencing for stealing £1,500 worth of Jellycat stuffed animals.
A 30-year-old man could face prison time after confessing to a series of burglaries across west London.
On June 12th, a man burglarized La Piccola, an Italian deli in Kensington, and stole a laptop, tablet, iPod, and the cash register tray. Three days later, he broke into Venusrox, a store in Notting Hill, and made off with two natural rock crystal formations.
On June 19th, he stole two green crystal lamps from Dale Rogers Ammonite on Pimlico Road. Then, on July 21st, he broke into a store on Barnes High Street and stole £1,500 worth of Jellycat stuffed animals. He has admitted to both thefts.
Oh my gosh, you won’t BELIEVE what happened! He totally lost it and, get this, DESTROYED part of the shop! They’re saying he wrecked four of the beautiful mounted crystals – can you imagine?! – and even smashed the front door! The damage is estimated at £43,000! It’s awful, but honestly, it just proves how deeply he feels… or something. I’m just devastated for the crystals, though.
Marco Jr appeared in court earlier this month via video link while wearing a standard grey tracksuit provided by HMP Wandsworth, where he is currently held.
