Duran Duran bassist John Taylor bursts with pride as daughter Atlanta de Cadenet ties the knot – again – in lavish three-day Sicilian wedding

Duran Duran showed up as a family to celebrate the wedding of bassist John Taylor’s daughter, Atlanta de Cadenet, in Sicily this weekend, making it a star-studded event.

Model and fashion publicist Atlanta, 33, wed Canadian musician David Macklovitch, 47, with both a small, private ceremony in Brooklyn and a larger, glamorous celebration on the Italian coast just days later.

The popular British band arrived for the event, and John’s wife, Gela Nash-Taylor – who co-founded the fashion brand Juicy Couture – posted photos of the celebrations on Instagram.

A beautiful photo showed Atlanta wearing a strapless dress and long veil, standing with her father, John, who is 65. A rainbow appeared over the ocean in the background, creating a stunning scene.

I was so thrilled to see Gela, a former actress and John’s wife since 1999, looking absolutely radiant! She seemed incredibly youthful in the photos, posing with John in a comfortable, flowing off-white dress. It was lovely to see them together.

Gela shared a post celebrating the wedding, writing, ‘Here comes the bride!’ She described it as an incredibly amazing wedding in beautiful Sicily, a gorgeous celebration of true love, and wished the couple a lifetime of love and happiness.

John’s daughter, Atlanta, recently got married, and her mother, photographer Amanda de Cadenet, who was a popular TV personality in the 90s, was there to celebrate with her.

Amanda and John were married for four years, ending in 1995. She became a well-known TV personality in the early 1990s, appearing on popular shows like The Word and The Big Breakfast.

After moving to Los Angeles in the mid-1990s, she built a thriving career as a photographer and writer. She and her husband, Nick Valensi of The Strokes, raised their son, Atlanta, and now their 18-year-old twins.

Atalanta’s wedding follows closely on the heels of another Duran Duran family member getting married. Just a few weeks ago, Roger Taylor’s daughter, Ellea, had her own wedding, and the band members all came together to celebrate with her.

People immediately noticed that lead singer Simon Le Bon wasn’t present either time.

Photos from an Italian wedding in Atlanta over the weekend showed Victoria Beckham’s father, John, along with Roger Taylor and Nick Rhodes, but her husband, Simon, was noticeably absent. Fans quickly commented on a post by Gela, asking about Simon’s whereabouts, but neither he nor his bandmates have offered any explanation.

Atlanta and Dave celebrated their recent, simple New York courthouse wedding with a larger Italian-themed party. The bride wore a vintage-looking Chanel-style mini dress with a veil and bow, while the groom looked sharp in a tuxedo.

The Sicilian wedding festivities were particularly lavish, and the bride showcased several different outfits, including a short white lace dress accessorized with cat-eye sunglasses and a stylish headscarf.

I was so thrilled to see Duran Duran posing with Bill and Melinda after their wedding! It was such a cool moment – a lot of the band members were wearing sunglasses as they all stood together, arms linked with the happy couple. It really felt like a special occasion.

Atlanta has frequently discussed what it was like growing up with famous musician parents, and once joked that she actively tried to avoid dating other musicians. However, she admitted in 2012 that she often found herself drawn to them anyway. She explained that while she understands the appeal, she’s generally not impressed unless a musician is truly talented.

Her new husband, Dave, the lead singer of the Grammy-nominated band Chromeo, was definitely approved of by her friends and family.

I’ve been a Duran Duran fan since they first started out in Birmingham back in 1978, and I can’t believe they’re *still* making music and touring after all these years! They just finished up a fantastic summer tour over in Europe, and they’re gearing up for more shows next month. And get this – they’ve already announced dates for a US tour kicking off in early 2026! It’s incredible – they just keep going, and I’m so excited to see what they do next.
