Okay, so things are getting *weird* in Marlow. Apparently, the mayor, who everyone loved, suddenly passed away, and then a famous chef dropped dead right at his own book launch – with tons of people there! It sounds like we’re going to be under a lot of pressure from the town while we try to figure things out. Everyone’s watching, and they’re definitely going to have opinions.
The team will also be drawn into a mystery at their university reunion, held in a spooky old mansion. Unexpectedly, Becks becomes a suspect! Will this case jeopardize their positions as unofficial helpers to the police?
What to Read Next
This season of the show will have six episodes and focus on three murder investigations. Each mystery will be revealed over two episodes, and the main detectives will work alongside different guest stars in each case.
Nigel Harman, known from *EastEnders*, Peter Davison, Jacqueline Boatswain from *After the Flood*, Sarah Alexander, Tony Gardner, and Jason Merrells of *Happy Valley* will be featured in the first two episodes.
Comedian Harry Enfield will join the cast as Hector in episodes three and four. Cherie Lunghi, Adrian Lukis, and Alastair Mackenzie (known from *The Crown*) will play Marian, Matthew, and Ferdy, respectively, in episodes five and six.
The next episode will bring back some beloved characters, including Hugh Quarshie as Professor Darius Gifford, Phill Langhorne as DC Brendan Perry, Holli Dempsey as DC Alice Hackett, and Tijan Sarr as DC Jason Kennedy.
The TV show *The Marlow Murder Club* is inspired by Robert Thorogood’s books, and its third season is based on his novel *Queen of Poisons*.
Thorogood not only stars in the show but also helped write the first two episodes with Daniel Rusteau, and he’s an executive producer as well.
The writer was behind the BBC crime drama *Death in Paradise*, and also helped create its spin-offs, *Beyond Paradise* and *Return to Paradise*.
