Mega Lucario is the latest powerful Pokémon joining the battle in Pokémon Unite. As an ‘All-Rounder’ type, Mega Lucario boasts significantly stronger attacks than its standard form. Mega Lucario: In-game Cost
Mega Lucario is a special Pokémon you can unlock in the Mega Lucario Special Training event. You can earn Mega Lucario’s Unite License for free by completing missions and filling up the Mega Gauge completely.
Pokémon Unite Mega Lucario Movesets
Basic Attack
Every third attack transforms into a powerful, boosted attack that combines with a bone strike. This attack damages nearby opposing Pokémon and also throws them back.
Passive – Mega Lucario
A Pokémon’s ability changes when it Mega Evolves. Here’s a look at its ability in both its regular and Mega Evolved forms:
- Justified (Normal Form): When the Pokémon is damaged by an opposing Pokémon, it’s attack increases. This effect can be stacked up to 4 times.
- Adaptability (Mega Evolved Form): Attack increases whenever a move hits opposing Pokémon. This effect can stack up to 100 times.
Ability 1 – Quick Attack
This move causes the user to rush forward incredibly quickly, hitting and damaging any opposing Pokémon it touches.
Power-Up Punch
Mega Lucario gains this ability at level 5. Here’s how it works:
- Charges power before unleashing a powerful attack. While the user is charging power, its movement speed is decreased but its Attack slowly increases and the damage it receives is reduced. The user then charges in the designated direction and releases this move. This move deals more damage the lower the opposing Pokemon’s remaining HP is, immediately boosting Mega Lucario’s next basic attack if it hits an enemy. This move’s cooldown is reduced every time one of the user’s moves hits.
- When the user Mega Evolves, it can charge power for a longer duration, dealing increased damage to opposing Pokémon, and shoving them.
- Upgrade: The user becomes immune to hindrances while charging power.
Ability 2 – Meteor Mash
Blasts forward with a punch like a comet, dealing damage to opposing Pokémon and shoving them.
Close Combat
Okay, so I just hit Level 7 with Mega Lucario, and it unlocked a new ability! Here’s what it does, broken down for you:
- Unleashes a combo attack, dealing multiple blows to opposing Pokémon. When this move hits, it restores a certain amount of the user’s HP. While using this move, the user becomes immune to hindrances.
- When the user Mega Evolves, it can deal more consecutive blows and change direction when attacking. If this move is used again, or if Power-Up Punch is used, this move can be canceled. This move’s cooldown is reduced every time the user’s moves hit.
- Upgrade: Increase the damage dealt by this move.
Unite Move – Aura Cannon
As a Lucario fan, I’m so excited about this Unite Move! It does damage to all the Pokémon around you in a big area. But the best part? Right after you use it, Lucario *immediately* Mega Evolves! It’s a huge game changer and looks amazing.

Best Held Items

Pokémon Unite Mega Lucario Gameplay Tips

Early Game
At the start, Mega Lucario is just like Lucario, learning Quick Attack and Meteor Mash at Level 2. These moves give it excellent movement and strong attacks, letting it control the early part of the game. Quick Attack lets Lucario quickly move around to finish off wild Pokémon, and Meteor Mash can push enemies away, helping to secure more Pokémon or create space.
Lucario excels in close-range battles, becoming more powerful with every hit it takes thanks to its unique ability. Its regular attacks can briefly stun opponents, interrupting their actions and making it harder for them to gather resources. Prioritize consistently earning experience to quickly unlock Lucario’s ultimate ability and simultaneously reach its Mega Evolution form, significantly boosting its attack power.
As a teammate, I always focus on helping our attacker get a good farming rhythm going. It’s super important to take out those early Epic Pokémon – like Rotom and Regice – as quickly as we can. Getting them down fast lets our attacker level up quickly, knock out the opposing team’s Pokémon, and ultimately score the goals we need to win!
Mid and Late Game
Mega Lucario becomes significantly stronger once it learns Power-Up Punch at level 5 and Close Combat at level 7. Its power increases even more when it uses its Unite Move, which allows it to Mega Evolve and gain the Adaptability passive. This lets Mega Lucario rapidly increase its Attack stat-up to 100 times-making it incredibly powerful in longer battles.
When Lucario transforms into its Mega form, Power-Up Punch becomes a powerful attack that deals significant damage, especially to opponents who are already weakened. Close Combat allows Lucario to stay in fights for a long time while ignoring certain negative effects. As Mega Lucario, it’s a very tough frontline fighter, capable of quickly defeating enemies and taking control of important targets like Groudon and Regidragon.
Positioning of Mega Lucario
Mega Lucario players will have the most success in either the top or bottom lane. Focus on defeating Aipoms and Audinos to gain levels quickly. It’s also very helpful to consistently defeat groups of Combees and Vespiqueen, as they provide a lot of experience and make leveling up easier.
