Ryan Thomas’ mum reveals she was catfished on a dating app by a ‘silver-haired gorgeous fella’ who had claimed to be a male model

Ryan Thomas’ mother recently shared that she was tricked on a dating app by a man who pretended to be someone else. He presented himself as a handsome, older model, but it was all a deception.

Gail Waring shared her experience with online dating, describing how someone initially seemed very interested in her, but things didn’t turn out as expected.

She discussed the event on the At Home With The Thomas Bros podcast while talking with Ryan and his brother.

She explained that she was talking to a man online when she became suspicious. She then did a reverse image search of his profile picture and discovered it belonged to a professional model.

Scott asked Gail if she had tried a couple of dating apps but ultimately stopped using them.

She was shocked to discover she’d been catfished. Someone had been using pictures of a handsome male model from America to win her over online for about a day – a really attractive, silver-haired man, she explained.

He was telling me I was his ‘princess’ and things like that, but when I looked him up online, it turned out he was a professional male model. I realized I’d been tricked into thinking he was someone else.

Scott asked his mom about how his dad had wooed her, and she explained, ‘He used to say, “Do you love flowers, my princess? I’ll buy you tons!” I couldn’t believe how romantic it was!’

When Scott asked Gail if she was ready to start dating again, she admitted she hadn’t really considered it. She then suggested her sons could help her find someone.

Scott joked that he was struggling to find a girlfriend. Ryan then followed up with a sarcastic question, imagining asking someone to take his mother on a date and back to their place.

This follows a funny video Lucy Mecklenburgh recently posted, where she playfully addressed gossip about a possible affair with Ryan’s brother, Scott.

Chloe Sims, 34, who is known from the show TOWIE, posted a video of her hugging her future brother-in-law, Scott, 37, at her home. Scott is 41 years old.

As they hugged, text appeared on the video saying, ‘When your brother starts to wonder if the gossip is true…’

Lucy playfully asked the former Love Island star if he’d been hitting the gym, and Scott responded that he goes ‘a couple of times a week’.

Ryan, a former actor from Coronation Street, was playfully hiding by pretending to be a coat hanging on a door. He then surprised everyone by dropping his legs and revealing himself.

As the actor grimly stares at them both, Scott says: ‘I’ll be going then.’

Okay, so there’s been a lot of chatter lately about Scott and Lucy, and honestly, it’s gotten a little out of hand. It all started when Scott mentioned they have a lot in common and chat frequently. Naturally, people started jumping to conclusions and spreading rumors about an affair, which is just… unnecessary. I always say, clear communication and setting boundaries are key, and it seems like this situation could have benefited from that. It’s a good reminder that just because two people connect doesn’t mean anything untoward is happening!

I’ve been following the buzz online after I recently opened up on my podcast with Ryan and my brother Adam. There’s been a lot of talk, and I wanted to address some of the rumors that have been circulating on social media.

On the show ‘At Home With The Thomas Bros,’ he said their honest communication suggested everything was okay and there was nothing wrong.

‘I’ll be honest I was a bit uncomfortable with it,’ Ryan jokingly replied.

Scott then joked how he actually had eyes for Adam’s wife Caroline Daly, who he married in 2017.
