Alana ‘Honey Boo Boo’ Thompson involved in car wreck in Denver as Mama June rushes to her side

Alana Thompson, known as ‘Honey Boo Boo,’ was in a car accident in Denver on Friday while driving to do an errand.

A 20-year-old woman was hit on the side of her car while driving out of her driveway in Colorado. Another driver, speeding down the road, caused the collision.

Okay, so I just heard some news about Honey Boo Boo, and wanted to let everyone know she was in a minor car accident. Her mom, Mama June, shared the update on Instagram, and thankfully, she’s doing alright! She’s a little shaken up, but resting and recovering – it was her first accident, and thankfully nothing serious happened.

The TV star recorded a video at a busy airport before her flight, sharing a frightening experience with her fans while rushing to be with her daughter.

Mama June said that Honey Boo Boo was leaving her house when the accident took place. 

Despite the circumstances, the officer acknowledged the driver’s honesty, as the 23-year-old man admitted he was driving 40 mph and hadn’t been fully focused.

The celebrity confirmed her daughter was unharmed, and explained the collision happened on the side of the car where she was driving.

Mama June then expressed that ‘it could have been a lot worse.’ 

After the incident, Honey Boo Boo went to the hospital, but she’s now home and getting better.

Her mother explained that her daughter is experiencing both back pain and ‘headache issues.’ 

Mama June recorded a video on Friday night explaining she was traveling to Denver to assist Honey Boo Boo with renting a car and getting settled.

The celebrity shared more details about the car accident in the post’s caption, explaining that today has been a difficult day since 3 PM and expressing frustration with the situation.

Alana Thompson is currently far away, but pursuing her goals. She received some upsetting news – the kind that really hits you hard – and promised to share the story later. Thankfully, she’s now back home and resting.

She’s really focused on her education and working towards a fantastic future helping others. It’s inspiring to see her taking such a positive path!

Mama June finished by saying she was going to Denver to pick up a rental car, sort out the transportation issue, and check on her daughter’s well-being.

The TV star told TMZ she was incredibly relieved, explaining that if her daughter, Honey Boo Boo, had left the house even a few minutes earlier, the situation would have been much worse.

This car accident marked Honey Boo Boo’s first time crashing while driving, but she’d been in a car wreck with her family more than ten years before.

In 2014, her father, Mike ‘Sugar Bear’ Thompson, was driving her, along with her mother, June, and sisters Lauryn and Jessica.

He had been making a left turn when another vehicle allegedly struck them. 

Mama June recently shared that she was in a car accident, saying, “As many of you may have heard, we were involved in a car accident last night.”

We were all pretty shaken up – none of us had ever been in a car accident before. We’re definitely feeling sore today, but we’re focused on celebrating Pumpkin’s daughter, Lauryn’s, birthday.

June Shannon said they’re celebrating her daughter’s 14th birthday, even though they’re not feeling their best. She also expressed gratitude for all the support and kind messages they’ve received.

This past May, Honey Boo Boo shared her thoughts on a past accident, wondering if her father had deliberately caused it.

She told Us Weekly that her dad sometimes got very angry and couldn’t control his temper.

Dealing with someone like that was incredibly unpredictable. You were constantly walking on eggshells, never knowing what would trigger an outburst. It wasn’t just raised voices; it could escalate to really frightening behavior – tearing clothes, throwing objects, even damaging walls. It created a constant state of anxiety because you just never knew what to expect.

She added that it was a bit frightening, explaining that you can’t predict how someone will react when they’re angry.

The celebrity shared that she rarely speaks with her father, Sugar Bear, admitting she couldn’t even recall the last time they had a conversation. She indicated it had been a very long time since they last spoke.

A new Lifetime movie about Honey Boo Boo premiered on May 17th and received a range of reactions from viewers and critics.
