Patti Mallette, Justin Bieber’s mother, recently offered a public prayer for her son, leading fans to wonder if there’s a deeper reason behind her message.
Many online users noticed the prayer was posted just five days before Justin Bieber’s former girlfriend, Selena Gomez, was set to marry Benny Blanco, and found the timing odd.
Patti sent Justin a long message on Instagram Monday, sharing her support and letting him know she’s praying for him.
She prayed for her son’s well-being, asking for him to be free, strong, and healed, and requested God to mend any emotional or physical pain he was experiencing.
‘His mom knew his feelings to Selena since her wedding is tomorrow,’ one user posted.
‘Welp! The love of his life is getting married tomorrow,’ another wrote.
‘Nothing, it’s just a Selena’s wedding,’ someone else added.
Someone suggested it might be a new song titled ‘Pray for Me.’ They also believe he consistently tries to ruin Selena’s happy times.
One commenter wrote, “Selena Gomez deserves so much better! I’m sending prayers that she stays mentally strong and finds safety and happiness with Benny.”
One person commented that it’s awkward when people still hope Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez will get back together, especially since Selena is about to get married and Justin already has a child with Hailey Bieber.
On Monday, 50-year-old Patti shared some black-and-white photos of 31-year-old Justin, including one of him wearing a shirt with the message ‘Pray for Me’.
She wrote in the length caption, ‘We’re cheering you on and praying for you always Justin.’
She prayed that any feelings of fear, confusion, sadness, or pain would be gone, trusting in Jesus. She asked the Holy Spirit to protect him, filling his life with truth and light.
