Spencer Matthews will participate in a challenging TV experiment designed to determine if he exhibits traits commonly associated with psychopathy.
The Daily Mail has learned that former Made In Chelsea star, age 37, will host a special one-time documentary on Channel 4, which will really challenge his character.
A father of three decided to participate in the film after those close to him jokingly pointed out he seemed to have some ‘psychopathic tendencies.’
Spencer is exploring the science of psychopathy, hoping to change how people think about it and even consider if some individuals might be considered ‘good’ psychopaths.
Vogue Williams, a TV personality age 39, has said she initially believed her husband was a ‘sociopath’ after meeting him on the reality show *The Jump* in 2017.
Podcast host Spencer has admitted he sometimes wonders if he might be a psychopath, explaining that he often feels a lack of empathy for others.

A TV insider said: ‘This is a unique experiment, nothing like it has ever been seen on television.
Spencer enjoys challenging limits and, because he was so interested in the topic, he volunteered to test it out himself.
He’s willing to be extremely open and vulnerable to find out if he might actually be a psychopath.
Spencer is no stranger to emotional documentaries.
I was really moved by his 2023 Disney+ documentary, *Finding Michael*. It detailed his incredibly brave and personal journey to bring his brother, Michael Matthews, home after he was lost on Mount Everest back in 1999. It was a powerful story, and I felt deeply for him throughout.
He’s preparing to film “Seven in Seven,” a huge undertaking where he’ll complete seven Ironman triathlons on seven different continents.
Spencer achieved a Guinness World Record last year by running a marathon every day for 30 days straight – all while traversing the Jordanian desert. This made him the first person to ever complete that many marathons on sand in a single month.
TV personality Spencer Matthews discussed his new documentary, ‘Spencer Matthews: Am I a Psychopath,’ explaining he’s always been intrigued by psychopathy. He felt driven to learn more because he and others have wondered if he might have psychopathic tendencies.

I hope my work, both as a person and as a scientist, will help us better understand this condition and how it affects people’s behavior.
Spencer, once known for his romantic pursuits and married to Vogue since 2018, has often wondered if he has a condition characterized by a lack of empathy.
In 2017, the celebrity participated in the show *Celebrity Psych Test* on All 4 with his former *Made In Chelsea* costar, Jamie Laing, and discussed his worries about potentially being a psychopath.
He said: ‘It’s not a very nice thing to not have empathy.
It’s important to me to be understanding. If I’m talking to someone who’s really anxious, and I can’t relate because I haven’t experienced anxiety myself, it feels awkward and disconnected.
It’s impossible to discuss this with them without sounding dismissive and arrogant – like I’m implying I’m superior and they have no idea what they’re doing.
Following a personality assessment that looked at traits like emotional stability, sociability, and attention-seeking behavior, Spencer joked that he expected to be labeled a psychopath.
Spencer and Jamie recently used Spencer’s podcast, Untapped, as a platform to discuss and resolve their long-standing disagreement, which started when Jamie chose not to include Spencer in the guest list for his wedding.
A dismissive comment made by Jamie at his London event towards his wife, Sophie Habboo, caused a rift between him and his previously close friend.
Okay, so the drama is officially over – they finally addressed everything on the podcast! We also got a really fun trip down memory lane talking about their *Made In Chelsea* days, though Spencer admitted he doesn’t have the fondest memories of that time. It’s always interesting to hear people reflect on past experiences, isn’t it?
He admitted he wasn’t proud of how he was shown on TV, saying he wouldn’t want his son to behave that way. He also stated he doesn’t admire any of Spencer Matthews’ personality traits from the show *Made In Chelsea*.
‘I don’t find myself that funny or entertaining, I looked drunk. I’m not proud of the work.’
