I’m deeply saddened to share some difficult news regarding the artist D4vd. His performances at the Spilt Milk festival have been cancelled following the tragic discovery of the body of 15-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez in a vehicle registered to him. This is a devastating situation, and my heart goes out to everyone affected. Details are still emerging, but the festival made the right decision to prioritize safety and respect in light of this terrible event.
Festival organizers explained their decision to remove the 20-year-old musician from the event on Thursday while the investigation into the murder continues.
‘Last week we removed D4vd from our website and marketing out of respect for the unfolding story,’ they said on Instagram.
We’ve confirmed that D4vd won’t be able to perform at Spilt Milk. We’re currently working on booking a replacement artist and will share the details as soon as everything is confirmed.
D4vd is no longer scheduled to perform, and the other artists will continue with shows in Ballarat, Perth, Canberra, and the Gold Coast this December.
Headliners will include big names such as Kendrick Lamar and Doechii.
D4vd has cancelled the rest of his US tour following a police investigation into the death of a teenager, Hernandez. The investigation led to a search of his home in the Hollywood Hills last Thursday.
TMZ reported Friday that the singer has canceled his final two concerts, which were scheduled for San Francisco and Los Angeles.
He missed a scheduled event at the Grammy Museum in Los Angeles on Wednesday, but he’s still planning to perform in Norway on October 1st.
D4vd’s record label has cancelled the release of a special edition of his album, *Withered*, and all related promotional activities.
It comes as a new picture of the singer and Hernandez, who would now be 15 if she was still alive.

Earlier this month, police investigating the murder of Hernandez connected D4vd to the case after responding to a call at a Los Angeles vehicle impound lot.
On September 8th, people reported a bad smell coming from a Tesla registered to David Anthony Burke, also known as D4vd.
When officers reached the location, they found a decomposing body inside a bag in the car’s trunk.
A week later, the medical examiner confirmed the victim was Hernandez, who had been missing since last April after disappearing from Lake Elsinore, California.
D4vd was touring at the time Hernandez’s body was found and is said to be helping with the investigation, but he isn’t considered a suspect.
He has also not been charged with any crimes.
