It’s just part of being a theme park enthusiast that rides and attractions sometimes close. Popular features are occasionally updated, and all rides need regular maintenance to prevent bigger problems and keep everything running smoothly.
The hotels at Disneyland Resort, like the theme parks themselves, need updates to stay fresh and appealing, and that includes their restaurants. Napa Rose, Disneyland’s most upscale dining option, has been closed for a big renovation. Originally, it was expected to reopen shortly, but unfortunately, the reopening date has been delayed, which is really disappointing.

The Grand Californian’s Napa Rose Reopening Has Been Delayed Into 2026
Sometimes at Disneyland, you crave classic theme park food. Other times, you want a really good meal – the kind you usually save for vacation.
Honestly, when people think Disney, food isn’t usually the first thing that comes to mind, but they seriously have some amazing restaurants. Take Victoria and Albert at Walt Disney World – it actually has a Michelin star! Napa Rose at the Grand Californian isn’t *quite* there yet, but it’s still top-notch. And I was really bummed when my absolute favorite spot at Disneyland closed this spring for a big renovation. They said it would be back open sometime this fall – so hopefully within the next 90 days, I can finally get another meal there!
As a big theme park fan, I was disappointed to see on Disneyland’s website that Napa Rose isn’t reopening until sometime in early 2026. I didn’t have any firm plans to go to Disneyland this year, but as someone who writes about parks professionally, trips often come up! I was *really* hoping to treat myself to a fantastic meal there – it’s been closed whenever I’ve visited lately, and I was looking forward to finally experiencing it.
I love dining at Napa Rose and don’t mind splurging on a great meal there. Though I haven’t tried their exclusive Chef’s Table, their Vinterner’s Table prix fixe menu is fantastic and accessible to everyone. I highly recommend getting the wine pairings – you’re on vacation, so treat yourself!

Napa Rose Will Look Amazing When Its Done
It’s surprising that Napa Rose restaurant has been closed during Disneyland’s entire 70th anniversary celebration. Even though the anniversary events are scheduled to last until next summer, it seems the restaurant will be closed for most of it. This is happening while Disneyland is experiencing unusually large crowds.
The changes coming to Napa Rose are more than just small improvements. Newly released designs show the restaurant will have a completely different look when it reopens next year. One of the biggest additions will be a new outdoor patio with fireplaces, creating a more inviting atmosphere and offering guests a fresh way to enjoy the Disneyland Resort.
I’ve really been looking forward to dining at Napa Rose, and I’ll have to wait until it reopens to do so. I’m planning a dinner there with a friend as soon as it does – 2026 isn’t so far off, thankfully!
