If you close your eyes, you’ll notice a faint grey color. It’s not a color coming from anything you see, but rather a result of darkness and your own thoughts. This internal grey, often called “eye gray,” inspired HELIOT EMIL’s Autumn/Winter 2026 collection, titled *Eigengrau*.

This season, the Danish brand is focusing on the beauty of small details and the power of inner reflection, inspired by the quiet moments when we close our eyes and dream. As part of this, they’re inviting their followers to share their most unusual dreams, creating a collective archive that explores the fascinating landscape of our subconscious minds.

This unusual energy is expressed through mostly black and white outfits-simple at first glance, but actually quite detailed. Layering, a hallmark of the brand, is used throughout the mostly gray color scheme. However, this season, the detail comes from the creative combination of new and interesting fabrics.

The collection features unexpected pairings like a black balaclava with dress pants, a silky tie worn under a see-through sweater, and multiple puffer coats combined into a unique shape. These looks demonstrate how different fabrics can create variety, even when sticking to a single color scheme.

The brand also demonstrates a commitment to materials through its partnership with TEXNIC, a company that creatively recycles materials from electric vehicle (EV) batteries into high-performance fabrics. Together, they’ve created a five-piece collection – including a jacket, vest, trousers, column skirt, and cinched coat – all made from these recycled battery materials.
