Supermodel Naomi Campbell, 55, puts wild days in the past as she declares ‘I’m just a mom’ while sharing a rare insight into motherhood and how she raises her two young children

Naomi Campbell, the famous supermodel, says she’s embraced a calmer life and now primarily identifies as a mother. She shared these thoughts in a recent interview and photoshoot about her experience with motherhood.

A 55-year-old mother of two is the star of fashion designer Tolu Coker’s new spring 2026 collection.

For this project, Naomi and the brand moved away from a traditional fashion show and instead created a short, film-like presentation. The film focused on the themes of motherhood and the experience of Black women in the fashion world.

In a recent video, Naomi opened up about her personal life, discussing how she parents her two young children – a son and a daughter born via surrogacy in 2021 and 2023.

She said: ‘I’m just a mom. That’s how I kind of think of myself today.’

As many of you know, I’ve always tried to hold onto a sense of wonder – I think staying connected to your inner child is so important! And honestly, I’m a bit of a shy person too. It’s just part of who I am!

‘But those who know me know more than anything in the world is what I wanted to be was a mother.

I like to have fun with my kids, but I also believe in consistent discipline, rooted in the strong values I learned growing up in a West Indian Jamaican family.

She added: ‘I find myself saying things that my grandmother would say to me.

After dedicating decades to raising children, I felt it was time to honor those from my professional life who have passed away. They were pioneers who transformed perceptions of women, both in the world and within ourselves.

In a shoot to accompany the campaign, Naomi oozed class as she posed in a 70s style bedroom.

Naomi looked stunning in a short white dress, which she accessorized with matching white knee-high socks and pointed-toe heels.

She looked effortlessly glamorous in a bright yellow dress with a high neck and long sleeves.

Oh my gosh, she looked absolutely incredible! She was lying on this amazing, sleek bed, and the shoes! Yellow diamonds, can you believe it? They were the perfect touch to the whole look. I seriously couldn’t take my eyes off her.

Naomi looked stunning in a long, dark green jacket cinched at the waist with a belt. She completed the look with a matching hat.

Her final look saw her show off her incredible figure in an all-brown tailored outfit.

The jacket is fitted at the waist and has defined shoulders. Naomi completes the look with a tall hat in the same style.

While posing for the photo, Naomi shared, ‘This feels like a really special moment-a chance to create a lasting legacy. It’s all about making memories and holding onto those nostalgic feelings. It’s a continuation of tradition.’

In 2021, Naomi surprised everyone by announcing the birth of her daughter and sharing a cover photo with the newborn for Vogue magazine.

The model had a daughter, and in 2023, she welcomed a son. She hasn’t revealed either of her children’s names yet.

Naomi initially said her daughter was adopted, but then clarified that she hadn’t given birth herself. She was sharing how important her children are to her.

She told The Times: ‘My babies are everything to me. It’s made me fear for the future.’

Naomi clarified that she wasn’t seeking a father figure for her children and is content with being a single mother raising them independently.

When questioned about using a surrogate mother, she confirmed that she did, expressing her hope for a brighter future for her children.

‘They are 110 per cent my priority. I have to be there for them on their first day at school.’
