Apple TV+ has delayed the release of its thriller series, ‘The Savant,’ which stars Jessica Chastain, following the death of Charlie Kirk.
Oh my gosh, Jessica Chastain was *amazing* in this show! She played Jodi Goodwin, and honestly, it was such a powerful role. Jodi was this incredible undercover agent – she’d basically infiltrate these dangerous online hate groups, trying to stop extremists before they could actually *do* something terrible. It was so intense watching her, and she totally nailed it!
The show was originally going to premiere on Friday with the first two of its eight episodes, but it has been delayed indefinitely due to the strong political divisions in the U.S. following Kirk’s death.
Apple TV+ announced on Tuesday that the release of the thriller has been delayed to an unspecified date in the future.
A representative announced to People that the release of ‘The Savant’ has been delayed. They thanked fans for their patience and said the series will be released later on.
Daily Mail has reached out to reps for Jessica Chastain for comment on the developing story.

The show features Pablo Schreiber, Nnamdi Asomugha, Cole Doman, Jordana Spiro, Trinity Lee Shirley, and Toussaint Francois Battiste in supporting roles.
Jessica Chastain, the Academy Award-winning actress known for her role in ‘The Eyes of Tammy Faye’ and also a producer on the new series, shared with People what she thinks is the show’s main takeaway.
Chastain explained that the work aimed to remind people to protect their personal information, especially given the challenges facing the world today.
Chastain shared with the publication that maintaining her privacy is something she’s always valued.

The actress, known for her role in Zero Dark Thirty, explained she removed social media apps from her phone. She still uses it on her iPad for work, but wanted to create some distance between herself and constant internet access.
Chastain explained that deleting social media apps from her phone not only protected her privacy, but also improved her mental well-being, especially with how unpredictable social media algorithms have become.
‘I think more people should be encouraged to do that,’ the Molly’s Game star said.
She explained that it’s really easy to get hooked on things, and while that can be frustrating, it’s much more enjoyable when it’s something harmless, like watching cute puppy videos.
‘But when it’s addictive and then it’s leading you to like really, really dark videos.’
