Kate Gosselin has a new man in her life.
Hey everyone, I’m so excited to share some personal news! I recently posted on TikTok that I’m officially dating again – it’s something I’ve been looking forward to for a long time, and it feels really good!
The former Dancing With The Stars contestant said she is ‘super happy’ with her new love interest.
The woman, who is 50 years old, revealed she’s been dating someone for just over a year – around 14 or 15 months. She told her fans that she’s happy to no longer be alone.
The Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test alum did not name the guy.
The celebrity was married to Jon Gosselin for ten years, from 1999 to 2009. Together, they had eight children: twins Madelyn and Cara, who are now 24, and sextuplets Aaden, Collin, Joel, Hannah, Alexis, and Leah, who are now 21.
Gosselin hinted that he might appear in future TikTok videos, saying fans could occasionally see him pop up now and then.
Gosselin seems to have been devoted to bringing her kids up.
Kate had a romantic life, including a relationship with businessman Jeff Prescott in 2015. Later, in 2019, she starred in her own dating show, *Kate Plus Date*.
Kate has been struggling with money since her divorce from Jon, who she shares children with and used to appear on TLC with, because the divorce was expensive.
Now she works as a nurse, a profession she had before she became famous on TV.
The TV star opened up to her followers about her finances following a TikTok video she posted in mid-August.
The video shows Kate washing dishes after a long day of work. She’s a pediatric nurse, and nurses in that field typically earn around $30 per hour.
Her shifts are 12 hours long.
Someone commented that she’d be financially secure after appearing on the TLC show, but Kate responded that wasn’t the case. She explained she spent a huge amount of money on lawyers, which caused serious financial difficulties and left her very upset.
Oh my gosh, did you see what she just said? It totally seemed like she was talking about her divorce from Jon – you know, the one that was *finally* over in December 2009? I’ve followed her for so long, and it’s still so sad to think about, but she’s clearly still processing it all!
She was awarded primary custody of their eight children and also received full ownership of the house they shared as a family.
But Jon later got sole custody of Collin and his sister Hannah back in 2018.
One fan questioned Kate about the money earned from the show, pointing out how much she had been working.
It’s been a real struggle supporting eight children, especially with the costs of college – I’m happy I was able to fully fund their education and even cover legal expenses along the way, she said.
It’s really upsetting, but I was repeatedly forced to go to court, and that’s incredibly expensive. It’s frustrating because my children and I could have had much more financial security if it weren’t for the legal fees.
I was so touched when I read Kate’s message! She reassured me it was alright, and then shared that she’s currently focused on helping other families, which gives her a real sense of purpose and joy. It’s amazing to see how much she cares and finds fulfillment in giving back.
The TV personality also shared details about her work as a nurse, explaining that she provides healthcare to children in their homes.
Someone asked Kate how long she’d been a nurse, and she responded, “28 years!” She added with a laugh that it felt strange to even type that number, making her realize how long she’d been doing it.
She also shared that some of her kids will come home to live with her between college semesters.
You know, as a longtime viewer, I was really touched when Kate recently shared what she misses most about being on TV. She said, simply, that she misses our home in Pennsylvania. It felt so genuine and relatable – a little piece of the past she clearly cherishes.
I mostly miss having young children. Not the difficult parts, just how adorable they were. It felt like those days lasted forever when I was living them, but looking back, it all went by so quickly. It makes me feel a little sad.
Last October, a source reported that Kate was experiencing financial difficulties and was actively seeking a new television project.
