Coachella 2026 is sold out three days after passes go on sale

Following a couple of years of slower ticket sales after the pandemic, the 2026 Coachella festival has completely sold out for both of its weekends.

The festival announced on Monday that passes are sold out, but encouraged anyone still hoping to attend to join the waitlists for either weekend. They shared a message saying, ‘She’s gone, dance on. See you in April!’ General admission tickets originally cost $799, but are now selling for around $1,000 on resale sites like StubHub.

Next year’s festival in Indio will take place over two weekends – April 10-12 and April 17-19 – and boasts a fantastic lineup. Headliners include Justin Bieber, Sabrina Carpenter, Karol G, and EDM producer Anyma. The festival will also feature performances by Nine Inch Nails and Boys Noize, indie artist Sombr, rapper Young Thug, a BIGBANG reunion, and many more artists.

It’s good news for Goldenvoice, the festival organizer, that tickets sold out quickly this year. After a successful return in 2022, their recent festivals had been taking longer to sell out, and sometimes tickets were still available for the second weekend close to the event date. Before the pandemic, the festival would typically sell out before the artist lineup was even revealed.

Recent news offers a glimpse into the challenges facing the concert industry. Several popular festivals, including Pitchfork, Music Midtown, and Firefly, have been canceled, and many headlining artists have had to scale back tours or lower ticket prices due to a decline in demand.

Longtime Coachella attendees are used to finding tickets, even when they seem sold out. However, this year it might require a little extra effort – or offering something valuable in return.
