Get ready for *Sullivan’s Crossing* to arrive on Netflix in the UK! This medical drama stars familiar faces from popular shows like *One Tree Hill* and *Gilmore Girls*, and here’s a rundown of what you need to know.
Based on Robyn Carr’s popular books, this Canadian series centers around Maggie Sullivan (played by Morgan Kohan), a neurosurgeon whose life changes dramatically after she faces legal issues.
So, I’m playing this game where this character, Maggie, moves back to her small hometown in Nova Scotia from Boston. It’s a fresh start for her, but it also means reconnecting with her dad, Sully, who she hasn’t been close to for a while. Basically, she’s trying to rebuild her whole life, and it’s all about that journey and her relationship with him.

The series first launched in 2023 on CTV and The CW, and has since been renewed for two more seasons. These new seasons, each with 10 episodes, will air through 2025, with the latest episodes debuting in June.
UK viewers can start watching the drama on Netflix from October 1st. It’s currently unclear if all 30 episodes will be available, but the show’s page on Netflix suggests multiple seasons are coming, so we’re hoping for the full series.

Besides Chad Kan, and Scott Patterson-who is famous for playing Luke Danes on *Gilmore Girls* and its continuation, *A Year in the Life*-*Sullivan’s Crossing* features Tom Jackson, Andrea Menard, and Chad Michael Murray from *One Tree Hill*.
Okay, so the first season didn’t get a ton of attention from reviewers, but the ones who *did* check it out mostly liked it – it’s sitting at 67% on Rotten Tomatoes right now based on a few reviews. Things are a little different with seasons two and three though – there aren’t many reviews out there at all, but thankfully, all the ones I’ve seen are positive!
I think *Sullivan’s Crossing* really captures the feel of a close Canadian seaside town, but honestly, I didn’t quite feel a strong connection between the characters – it felt like their relationships developed slowly, and from a distance. That’s what Common Sense Media said about the first season, and I kind of agree!

As a big fan of shows like *Virgin River*, I was so excited to hear about *Sullivan’s Crossing*, and it definitely delivers! *Decider* actually compared the two, saying if you loved the slow-burn romance and drama of *Virgin River*, you’ll probably really enjoy this one too – it totally hits that same sweet spot.
Netflix recently added the Spanish thriller *Billionaires’ Bunker*, which has quickly become popular with viewers. And next month, a Canadian series will also be available on the streaming service.
Sullivan’s Crossing will stream on Netflix from 1 October.
