Why AFL star Rory Lobb’s fiancée Lexi Mary scored an invite to Brownlow – while he didn’t

The AFL’s biggest event of the year was a glamorous affair, with the players’ wives and girlfriends taking center stage on the red carpet.

One of the wives and girlfriends of AFL players attended the Brownlow Medal ceremony on Monday night by herself, without her fiancé.

Lexi Mary, fiancée of Western Bulldogs player Rory Lobb, turned heads in a striking, high-fashion dress with a futuristic look.

The beautiful blonde arrived at the event solo, as her fiancé wasn’t invited.

Lexi announced on social media that she was going to the event solo, before making her red carpet appearance.

She was able to attend while working, interviewing the AFL players for the Herald Sun that night.

Okay, so it looks like Lobb, who’s 31, didn’t make the cut for this year’s event. It’s notoriously difficult to get an invitation – the guest list is *very* exclusive, and they’re really selective about who they let in. It’s a tough crowd!

Okay, let me tell you, this Australian influencer absolutely *stunned* at the awards show at Crown Casino! She arrived in this incredible metallic gown – it was a real showstopper. Seriously, everyone was talking about it!

The off-the-shoulder dress by Alin Le’Kal hugged her figure, emphasising her tiny waist.

The 26-year-old’s outfit was so striking, she kept accessories to a minimum. She styled her blonde hair in a neat up-do, with a few strands framing her face.

As for makeup, Lexi chose a bold eye look, bronzed cheeks and pink lipstick.

While the jaw-dropping dress is certainly unique, it isn’t the first time we’ve seen it.

Ricki-Lee Coulter was first pictured in the frock earlier this year at the Australian Idol finale.

The couple recently announced their wedding date and shared some details about their upcoming celebration.

While on vacation in the Maldives last year, the Australian rules football player proposed to social media personality Lexi.

The couple, who are engaged, are currently planning their wedding and have announced they will get married in February 2025.

Lexi shared that they plan to get married in a small, private ceremony with only their closest loved ones present.

After the wedding, the couple is planning a relaxing honeymoon in the Maldives with their family and friends – the same place where they got engaged.

Mary told the Herald Sun they’re planning a small, intimate wedding because they want it to be a relaxed and enjoyable experience, not a stressful task.

‘And then we’ll head to the Maldives later with family and friends,’ she added.
