She’s got better things to do! Tammy Hembrow tackles scuba diving prep while Bailey Smith suits up for the Brownlow Medal – as fans reveal their shock thoughts on her absence

Tammy Hembrow tried out a new activity on Monday, shortly before Bailey Smith, who is reportedly her romantic interest, went to the Brownlow Medal ceremony.

The 31-year-old fitness influencer shared on Instagram that she’s taking scuba diving lessons, dismissing speculation she’d be attending a major AFL event with a football player.

Tammy posted a picture of the health form she had to complete before her class.

‘Ya girl is getting scuba certified catch me in the ocean for the rest of my life x,’ she wrote.

Fans were disappointed to see Bailey attend the Brownlow Medal count alone on Monday, especially given rumors that he and the athlete were dating.

‘I’m so mad at him,’ one person wrote while another said: ‘She’s too busy scuba diving.’

‘She was never going with that loser,’ a third wrote while another simply added: ‘Disappointing.’

Bailey suited up for the occasion in an all-black ensemble, looking dapper in a tuxedo and bow-tie.

He had his usual messy blonde hair falling to his shoulders and topped off the look with stylish, ‘speed dealer’ sunglasses.

The awards ceremony happened shortly after Bailey publicly confirmed his relationship with a social media personality from the Gold Coast. He discussed it on Monday’s Kyle & Jackie O Show on KIIS FM, breaking his previous silence on the matter.

He stated that he and Tammy are just friends and confirmed she won’t be joining him at the Brownlow Medal count, ending weeks of rumors.

Kyle Sandilands asked, “What’s happening between you and Tammy? Are you going out with her tonight?”

Bailey explained that he hadn’t been trying to impress her, and didn’t want to talk about football all night because she wasn’t interested. He clarified they were just friends.

‘So, you guys aren’t exclusive or boyfriend and girlfriend?’ co-host Jackie Henderson questioned.

Bailey confirmed: ‘No, we’re just mates.’

The AFL star then revealed he was taking his jiu-jitsu instructor to the annual awards night.

I’m bringing my jiu-jitsu coach with me. He’s a great guy, one of my closest friends, and he’s planning on drinking a lot tonight, he told me.

Soon after Bailey’s interview, Tammy posted a revealing selfie on Instagram, showing her in a very small bikini.

Bailey had a significant night, as he’s a strong contender for the evening’s top award. He quickly proved his worth during his first season playing at Kardinia Park.

But Matt Rowell claimed the surprise victory on Monday night.

The 24-year-old winner was surprised and humbled to receive the award. He beat out Nick Daicos, Bailey Dawson, and Jordan Dawson, earning an impressive 39 votes to take the top spot.
