The embarrassing number of Australian tickets sold for Melania Trump’s new movie revealed

A new documentary about Melania Trump from Amazon isn’t generating much interest from viewers in Australia.

The movie Melania comes out on Friday, but it looks like Australian audiences aren’t showing much interest.

Okay, so I’ve been obsessively checking Hoyts cinemas all over Sydney, and it’s seriously concerning! I’m seeing tons of empty seats – like, a lot. It’s weird, and honestly, a little heartbreaking for a Hoyts lover like me. It’s just… so many vacant seats everywhere I look!

I always try to catch the 8:30 PM Friday showing at the Chatswood cinema, but it’s getting tough! They only hold about eleven seats for that session, so you really have to book ahead if you want to get one.

The theatre’s Saturday session looks even more barren, with just two seats reserved.

At the Hoyts Cinema in Warringah Mall, on Sydney’s Northern Beaches, only one seat is currently available for the 4:30 PM premiere screening on Friday.

The situation was much the same in Western Sydney, where only three people who appeared to be fans of Melania Trump attended the 6:45 PM showing at the Hoyts cinema in Wetherill Park.

The 104-minute movie, Melania, will be released in theaters around the world on January 30th. It tells the story of the intense 20 days before Donald Trump became president.

As a lifestyle and entertainment insider, I was absolutely floored by the recent news! Amazon just landed a documentary for a record-breaking $40 million – the biggest deal ever for a documentary. It was a seriously competitive situation, with giants like Disney, Netflix, and Paramount all vying for it, but Amazon ultimately won out in a really intense bidding war.

The trailer begins with a stunning scene: the First Lady, age 55, walking confidently towards the Capitol rotunda wearing the memorable outfit she debuted at the inauguration.

She sighed with a familiar feeling, offering a knowing smile to the camera while wearing a large, straw hat.

The trailer portrays Melania Trump confidently navigating her life, from traveling by private jet in high heels to leading business discussions at Mar-a-Lago and in New York City, and looking elegant in her iconic black and white inaugural gown.

The video shows heartwarming family scenes with Barron and Melania’s father, and also gives a glimpse into the strict security measures protecting the First Family.

The trailer builds suspense with fast-paced scenes of motorcades speeding through New York City, sirens wailing.

‘Is it safe?’ Melania asks her security detail during one intense scene.

The movie idea sparked right after Trump won the election, and discussions began just a few days after, on November 18th.

The First Lady was closely involved in all stages of the production and made sure it was a high-quality, visually stunning experience.

She did not want it to feel like a regular documentary, but an ‘elevated film,’ insiders revealed.

Melania described the 20 days before the presidential inauguration as a special and important time, one she approached with great attention to detail and a commitment to doing things the right way.

I’m excited to share a personal and challenging time – the past 20 days of change and preparation – with audiences around the world.

This film is the latest achievement for the First Lady, coming after her memoir, also called Melania, quickly became a New York Times bestseller.

The trailer ends with Melania explaining her reasons for making the film, reflecting on her experience during a potential second term and her awareness of the intense public attention that comes with being First Lady.

‘Everyone wants to know. So here it is,’ she says.
