The vigil started around 7 p.m. and featured heartfelt calls for justice, illuminated by the gentle light of many candles, according to KABC news.
A simple memorial is growing along the street where she used to live, filled with flowers, pictures, and touching notes from people who cared about her.
Among them: a banner that read simply, ‘Justice for Celeste Rivas.’
Records from the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner, obtained by the Daily Mail, show that Celeste officially died on September 8th, only one day after her 15th birthday.
Authorities have identified the location where she died as a Tesla owned by 20-year-old D4vd. The official cause of death is still under investigation.

He explained the video was originally intended as entertainment and wasn’t connected to the murder investigation.

Online, many noticed a similarity between Rivas and the dark-haired woman in the artist’s 2022 song and music video, ‘Romantic Homicide’.
Online investigators discovered a song by the artist that might be a crucial piece of evidence in the teen’s disturbing death. The song, a demo titled “Celeste_Demo unfin,” was released in December 2023.
The lyrics revealed a number of identifying traits Rivas had prior to her tragic death.
The song features these lines: ‘Oh, Celeste, the girl whose name is tattooed on my chest. I can still smell her scent on my clothes, like cigarettes, and I hear her voice with every breath I take. I’m completely consumed by thoughts of her.’
