James Gunn hinted he has a list of actors he’d consider for the role of Batman, similar to how he had favorites for Superman. However, he emphasized that his previous choices didn’t necessarily end up getting the part, as David Corenswet was ultimately cast as Superman. He acknowledged that people are free to speculate, but isn’t confirming anything.

He mentioned they plan to hold screen tests once the hiring process starts. He also revealed that a well-known actor has expressed interest in playing Batman, and while they’ve discussed it, it’s not yet confirmed.

The host pointed out that fans have observed James Gunn enjoying the show *1923*, which stars Brandon Sklenar – a popular choice among fans to play Batman. Gunn jokingly acknowledged the connection, saying, “I see what you’re getting at. *1923* is a fantastic show – I was really impressed by it.”

The director shared that the script for ‘Brave and the Bold’ is still in progress. They have a writer working on it and are pleased with the direction it’s taking, but it isn’t complete yet.
