Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez have put their Beverly Hills home back on the market after significantly lowering the price by $16 million.
The former couple is relisting their large estate, which they purchased with cash for $60.8 million in May 2023, less than a year after getting married.
The unusual property, nicknamed ‘the pesky palace,’ was relisted for sale on Friday for $52 million. This is a significant price drop from the original $68 million asking price in July 2024, according to TMZ.
After failing to find a buyer in July, the actors – a 56-year-old known for ‘Kiss of the Spider Woman’ and a 53-year-old from ‘Air’ – have now taken their house off the market.
They had trouble selling the property earlier this year and reduced the price by $8 million in May to try and find a buyer.
Before listing the property publicly, Ben and Jennifer first attempted to sell it themselves.
According to TMZ, the ex-couple took out a $20 million loan when they purchased their Los Angeles home.
Jennifer recently purchased a smaller home in Hidden Hills, measuring 10,046 square feet, and finalized the purchase in February.
While she’s renovating her new apartment, reports say she’s still currently living in the house she’s trying to sell.
Ben moved out of his Beverly Hills house in July 2024, just before his wife filed for divorce, and bought a new home in Brentwood for $20.5 million.
He’s already settled into a new, more upscale and secluded home that he began building earlier this year.
Jennifer filed for divorce from Ben on their two-year wedding anniversary in August 2024.
Ben shares Violet, 19; Fin, 16; and Samuel, 13, with ex-wife Jennifer Garner, 53.
Meanwhile, Lopez shares fraternal twins Emme and Max, 17, with ex-husband Marc Anthony, 57.
The Zillow listing for Ben and Jennifer’s Beverly Hills home says it was recently updated with top-of-the-line materials and craftsmanship.
The amenities include a boxing ring, a sports lounge, a complete gym, courts for basketball and pickleball, and a bar.
There is also a 12-car garage, guest penthouse, caretaker house and a two-bedroom guardhouse.
A source recently revealed to the Daily Mail that Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez lowered the price of their Beverly Hills home by $8 million, but that the loss is insignificant to Affleck.
He simply wants to sell the property to fully separate his life from Jennifer’s.
