G.E.M., a hugely popular singer from China, will perform the official song for the League of Legends World Championship in 2025 and will also be the main performer at the opening event.
I’m so hyped for Worlds 2025! Riot just started giving us some sneak peeks about the tournament, and the biggest news so far is that G.E.M. is going to be performing the official anthem. I’m already excited to hear it!
Worlds 2025 anthem artist G.E.M.
I’m a huge fan of G.E.M., and she’s seriously amazing! She’s a singer-songwriter and producer originally from Shanghai but grew up in Hong Kong, and she’s accomplished so much. Her song “Light Years Away” is incredible – it was the Chinese theme for the movie Passengers and actually broke a Guinness World Record as the most-watched Chinese music video on YouTube, racking up almost 300 million views! What’s even cooler is she was the first Mandarin artist to release a whole album in Spanish with *Revelación*. And get this – as of March 2025, her “I Am Gloria” tour has made over $424 million! That puts her tour as the fourth-highest-grossing ever by a female artist, even beating out legends like Madonna, Blackpink, Lady Gaga, and Celine Dion. It’s actually the 19th-highest-grossing tour *of all time*! It’s just incredible to see how far she’s come.
G.E.M. expressed her excitement about creating the official anthem for the 15th LoL Esports World Championship, taking place in China this year. She’s been a long-time follower of LoL Esports and is inspired by the dedication and courage of the players – their teamwork and perseverance deeply connect with her own journey as an artist who has overcome challenges to achieve her goals. She hopes her music will capture that inspiring spirit and share it with fans worldwide.
Riot Games are yet to reveal the title for the Worlds 2025 anthem.
Okay, so I’m super hyped for Worlds 2025! G.E.M is going to perform at the Opening Ceremony, which is amazing, and Anyma, that awesome DJ and producer, will be there too. Plus, they’ve got Chrissy Costanza – you know, the voice of ‘Legends Never Die’ – and TEYA, who made ‘Bite Marks’, both supporting the show. It’s gonna be epic!
