The Traitors’ Charlotte Chilton is hospitalised with health woes and ‘anxiety’ after Conor Maynard’s paternity test row

Charlotte Chilton from The Traitors was briefly hospitalized due to health issues and anxiety following the drama surrounding the paternity test with singer Conor Maynard.

Oh my gosh, I’m so worried about her! She just posted the saddest selfie from the hospital on Instagram. Apparently, after having little Penelope only six months ago, she’s now dealing with gallbladder problems too! It’s just awful to see her going through all of this, and she’s only 32! I’m sending all my love and hoping she feels better soon.

Charlotte appeared to be in pain as she was seen lying in a hospital bed with her hand on her head.

Alongside her Story, she penned: ‘Me two days ago! Gallbladders and stress don’t mix.’ 

Charlotte hasn’t shared any recent updates about her health, but reports indicate she’s now back home.

She went to the hospital after the results of a second paternity test for Conor came back earlier in the year.

Last June, Charlotte revealed that Conor, who is also 32, is the father of her baby, conceived from a brief encounter.

After the birth, she claimed he refused to acknowledge her baby daughter Penelope as his own. 

A paternity test showed Conor wasn’t the father. However, Charlotte stated that another man was present at the time the DNA sample was taken.

The mother claimed Conor unexpectedly changed where testing would happen and that her own DNA wasn’t collected.

After a second test confirmed Conor wasn’t the father of Charlotte’s daughter, Charlotte released a statement.

A representative for Charlotte told Daily Mail that, as fans who watched her on BBC’s The Traitors know, she’s passionately and bravely fought for what she believes in.

Conor took to Instagram to share his own statement reiterating he is not baby Penelope’s father.

He reported that a second paternity test, requested by Charlotte Chilton concerning her daughter Penelope, had come back with results.

Like the previous test, this one definitively showed I am not Penelope’s father. Charlotte asked for DNA samples from Penelope, herself, and me, and we had them tested at a Ministry of Justice-approved facility that she chose. The results are final and conclusive.

This has been a challenging time for my family and me, and we truly appreciate all the support we’ve received. We’re relieved to finally be able to move forward.

‘I sincerely hope these results mean we can all find a way to move on with our lives.’

A typical DNA paternity test requires samples from both the child and the potential father. While not always required, including a sample from the mother helps make the results more accurate.

Conor discussed the emotional impact of the paternity questions during an appearance on This Morning in May, following Charlotte’s expressed doubts about the test results.

He explained that he was immediately labeled as an irresponsible father, and all the comments he received on social media focused on that accusation.

Conor shared that he’s dealt with mental health challenges for a long time, and this year has been particularly difficult in that ongoing struggle.
