Austin Butler purchases Brad Pitt’s LA home for $5.2M… three months after property was burglarized

Austin Butler recently bought Brad Pitt’s house in Los Feliz for $5.2 million, shortly after it was broken into three months ago.

The 34-year-old Elvis star closed on the sale last Friday, TMZ reported.

On June 25th, 61-year-old Brad was in Tokyo when intruders broke into his home by climbing the fence and entering through the front windows.

I heard from a source that security guards were actually at the property about an hour before everything went down. It’s just unsettling to think they were there beforehand.

As a lifestyle expert, I’ve been following this situation closely. It seems my sources tell me he’s really upped his security lately. He always had some protection when he was at the property, but now it’s a constant presence. Honestly, locals were a little concerned because he hadn’t put up much of a barrier – no tall fence or hedges – so the house was pretty accessible to anyone passing by. It’s clear he’s taking steps to address those concerns now.

The Once Upon A Time… in Hollywood actor subsequently beefed up security at the residence. 

Witnesses said that right after the security guard’s shift ended, three men climbed over the fence. It was a regrettable incident.

I was so shocked to hear about the break-in! Apparently, three burglars were inside Brad’s place for around ten minutes, just tearing the place apart. They got away with a bunch of his stuff, but nobody knows exactly what’s missing yet. It’s awful!

In August, police arrested three people after finding evidence linking them to a possible attempted burglary at another house.

Austin’s new 2,000-square-foot home, nicknamed ‘The Steel House,’ is shaped like an L and features three bedrooms and two bathrooms.

Amenities include a swimming pool and built-in sauna, and the home has floor-to-ceiling windows. 

Brad previously lived in a $33 million house nearby, but in April 2023, he purchased a more modest mid-century modern home from Aileen Getty.

Earlier this month, the New York Post reported that he bought a $12 million home in Hollywood Hills, which includes enhanced security.

Brad always took security seriously, even before his house was robbed, according to a source.

The publication also mentioned a Wall Street Journal report stating the large home was formerly owned by Dave Keuning, guitarist for The Killers, and his wife, Emilie.
