Melissa Gorga is skeptical about her sister-in-law Teresa Giudice’s recent hint that they might be able to mend their relationship.
Teresa had a major falling-out with her brother Joe Gorga and his wife, Melissa, and hasn’t spoken to them for the past two years.
The conflict between them is still very strong. Last year, it was so bad that the season 14 reunion of The Real Housewives of New Jersey couldn’t be filmed together. Instead, the cast split into two groups – Teresa in one room and Melissa in another – and filmed their reactions separately.
The Bravo series is returning after a break with some changes, and Teresa Giudice has been addressing rumors that the other cast members were secretly filming scenes without her.
A few days later, Teresa, 53, was asked if she and someone else might reconcile. She responded with ‘Never say never,’ and her daughter, Gia, 24, agreed, suggesting anything is possible.
Melissa dismissed Teresa’s remark as odd, suggesting it might be because of changes happening with the show, as reported at the Page Six Virtual Reali-Tea Awards.

Melissa, 46, explained that her sister-in-law has repeatedly stated, publicly through interviews and podcasts, that any possibility of reconciliation is over. Therefore, Melissa is puzzled by any recent suggestions that things might be changing or improving.
As a longtime fan, I was really surprised by what Melissa said about Teresa. She seemed to be suggesting Teresa brought this up because of the show, and then she revealed they haven’t spoken in about two years! It felt so random and out of the blue, honestly. It just didn’t seem like a normal thing to say after so much time apart.
During the 2023 reunion of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, Teresa and Joe had a major falling out. Their fight was intense and lasted a long time, and even the host, Andy Cohen, couldn’t resolve it despite his best efforts.
Melissa and Joe Gorga caused controversy by not attending Teresa Giudice’s wedding to Luis Ruelas. Joe explained on a recent reunion show that Luis had previously accused Melissa of infidelity, which was why they chose to skip the event.
The conflict grew more complicated, and Joe even accused Gia of saying he was capable of finding someone better than Melissa.
Teresa called Gia to encourage her to come to the reunion. Once there, Gia strongly denied making the statements people claimed she had, and told Joe, “It’s upsetting that you’re accusing me of lying.”
By the end of the 2023 reunion, Joe and Teresa were completely estranged, and they remained distant and unfriendly throughout the last season, season 14.
Following the season 14 reunion, which required filming Teresa and Melissa separately to avoid conflict, production was temporarily halted. Reports now suggest the show is being reworked for future seasons.

Earlier this month, a report surfaced that three returning cast members from the show – including Melissa, but not Teresa – were involved in test filming with people being considered as new cast members.
According to a source who spoke with Us Weekly, producers are interested in observing how the new female cast members interact with the show’s established actors on camera.
Teresa firmly denied the reports last week, pointing out that if filming had truly been happening, photos would have surfaced. She told Entertainment Tonight it was simply rumors being spread.
Soon after, she and Gia discussed the possibility of reconciling with Melissa and Joe in a public interview.
During an interview on Jeff Lewis Live, Teresa and Gia were asked if their family could ever get along again. Teresa responded with a cautious ‘Never say never,’ and Gia agreed, adding that everyone just needs to ‘grow up and act maturely’ to make it work.
Teresa explained she didn’t want to cause more drama by revisiting old disagreements with Joe and Melissa. She believes it’s best to simply let things go and focus on the future.
