Former Great British Bake Off star John Whaite has announced he’s leaving OnlyFans as he moves on to new projects.
Oh my gosh, you will NOT believe it! Remember that amazing baker who *won* the Great British Bake Off way back in 2012? Well, he’s back online! I was so shocked! He’d basically said after twelve years on TV, it just wasn’t doing it for him anymore, that it hadn’t really *excited* him, and I was heartbroken! But now he’s posting again, and I’m losing it! It’s like he’s come home!
It appears John has changed his mind. He announced on Instagram Monday that he’s leaving the adult website.
The baker is refocusing on his brownie business, Ruff Puff Brownies and Ruff Puff Bakehouse, and returning to something he’s skilled at but hadn’t been prioritizing.
I’m stopping my work on OnlyFans. My life has changed unexpectedly, and I’ve been spending all my time – happily – building my bakery, Ruff Puff Bakehouse, and making Ruff Puff Brownies.
They helped me rediscover a skill I’d forgotten about and made me appreciate the art that originally inspired me so long ago.

He explained his shift in focus, saying that collaborating with the team to create something meaningful has helped him realize his worth isn’t tied to his physical appearance, but rather to the process of creating, building, and connecting with others.
‘For the first time since Bake Off 13 years ago, I feel a true sense of purpose again.
This isn’t a closing, but a beginning – a fresh start built on enthusiasm, imagination, and connection. I’m truly excited for what’s next.
He expressed his gratitude to his OnlyFans supporters and colleagues, saying, ‘Thank you all for the support you’ve given me. I wish you all the best and continued success. ❤️’
I’m just John, not someone special, and I’m simply taking life one step at a time, like everyone else.
John received an outpouring of support from friends and fans, many of whom wrote messages like, ‘Life is a work in progress, and you have everything you need for this next step.’
Lisa Faulkner shared a sweet message, writing ‘I love you John Whaite,’ and Strictly Come Dancing’s Nancy Xu responded with a series of purple heart emojis.
In March, John claimed that Waitrose had taken down his recipes from their website shortly after he started posting again on OnlyFans.

The celebrity chef shared his personal recipes on the supermarket’s website, along with a short biography stating he is a chef, TV personality, and author, and that he was the winner of The Great British Bake Off in 2012.
‘His books include Perfect Plates in 5 Ingredients and A Flash in the Pan.’
However, when fans clicked on John’s profile, they were unexpectedly taken to a page showcasing recipes from eight other chefs, rather than his own. It redirected them to the ‘Guest Recipes’ section.
John noticed that Waitrose has stopped linking his recipes on Instagram, instead directing people to similar recipes created by other cooks. He feels like his past work with them is being erased.
‘My catalogue of YouTube videos with them has also disappeared. It’s like I never existed.
‘No one at Waitrose informed me or told me why… I can only guess that it’s because I do OnlyFans.
‘So I’m sorry if you wanted to use one of my recipes and now cannot.
I understand my content isn’t a good fit for their brand, and I would have been okay with that if they had just been respectful. But deleting all my work without warning or giving me a chance to back it up is really disrespectful.
A Waitrose representative shared with The Sun that they frequently update the recipes on their website, and they appreciate John’s contributions.
Daily Mail contacted Waitrose for comment at the time.
