‘I’ve had a great life’: Ozzy Osbourne documentary trailer depicts road to final show

Only three months after the passing of rock icon Ozzy Osbourne, who was 76 years old, a new documentary will explore the last part of his life.

Paramount+ has released a trailer for a new documentary about Ozzy Osbourne, who passed away from a heart attack on July 22nd. The film, titled “Ozzy: No Escape From Now,” was first announced on his website back in February.

Television

When ‘The Osbournes’ first aired in 2002, it introduced a new type of reality TV family. Viewers saw the head of the family openly swear, yell, and show a side of himself that wasn’t the typical rock star image – and millions tuned in to watch.

Ozzy Osbourne has described the last six years as incredibly difficult, even fearing for his life at times. He credits making music and recording two albums with helping him cope, saying he would have struggled severely without it.

The new film offers a heartfelt and intimate look at Ozzy Osbourne’s life, particularly how his world changed after being diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 2019. It also shows the events leading up to his final concert, “Back to the Beginning,” which took place at Villa Park on July 5th.

Music

Ozzy Osbourne announced on Tuesday that he’s been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease, following a year of staying out of the public eye. He’s now working on rescheduling the tour he had to put off in 2019.

The film, directed by award-winning Tania Alexander and produced by Echo Velvet, features interviews with those closest to Osbourne – his family and friends.

In the trailer, Sharon Osbourne shares that Ozzy’s biggest regret is not having the chance to properly say farewell to his fans.

Later, she poses a question to her husband: “What do you think of a big farewell show?”

“If I’m gonna go up there, I wanna be up there the old Ozzy singing,” he replies.

Beyond the film, a special performance at the 2025 VMAs also honored Ozzy Osbourne, the lead singer of Black Sabbath.

Music

The 2025 VMAs paid tribute to the late rock icon Ozzy Osbourne with a special performance. The show brought Steven Tyler out of retirement and included appearances by Yungblud, Joe Perry, and Nuno Bettencourt.

As a lifelong music fan, seeing Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler return to the stage was a real moment! He joined forces with Joe Perry, the incredibly talented Yungblud, and Extreme’s Nuno Bettencourt for a farewell performance. They played a fantastic mix of classics – I mean, hearing snippets of “Crazy Train,” “Changes,” and of course, “Mama, I’m Coming Home” was just incredible. It was a truly special night.

“Ozzy forever, man!” Yungblud yelled out at the end, before embracing Tyler.
