Victoria Beckham, the former Spice Girl and fashion designer, is the subject of a new documentary series. It’s created by the same team behind the popular shows about David Beckham and Michelle Obama, building on the success of David’s recent docuseries.

The three-part documentary series, simply called ‘Victoria Beckham,’ will debut on Netflix on October 9th.

Netflix shared a short trailer on Wednesday, offering fans a preview of the upcoming show.

The documentary will explore the challenges Victoria faced with her fashion brand, revealing that the business once lost ‘millions’ of pounds. Victoria remembers the financial difficulties, and David admitted the debt caused him significant worry.

Victoria has repeatedly emphasized that her family comes first. In a trailer for an upcoming project, she tearfully shared her simple wish: ‘I want my kids and David to be proud of me.’

The trailer concludes with David comforting his upset wife, telling her that even something simple like making a cheese and ham toastie would make him proud.

Victoria then quipped back: ‘Let’s be honest I couldn’t actually make a cheese sandwich very well.’ 

Just last year, it came out that her brand, which had struggled for years, was finally making a good profit – 17 years after it first began.

Financial reports for Victoria Beckham Holdings Ltd. showed losses of £5.89 million in 2021, an improvement from the £8.58 million loss reported in 2020.

When the numbers were calculated, the company had accumulated losses of £66.3 million since it began operating in 2008. As a result, the company’s directors, including Victoria and her husband David, didn’t receive any dividend payments.

The actress playfully admitted she seemed like a ‘grumpy person’ while looking back at her life and work in the debut trailer.

Netflix shared a new trailer on Wednesday, including interviews with Gwyneth Paltrow’s friends Tom Ford and Eva Longoria. The trailer also briefly showed her eldest son, Brooklyn, despite ongoing family issues.

After news surfaced that Brooklyn would be on the show, Victoria seemingly tried to reconcile with her son by briefly including a childhood photo of him.

The trailer opened with Victoria addressing the public perception of her, saying, ‘Some people thought I was a really unhappy person who never smiled, but I actually do smile! It might surprise you.’

While watching old videos of her Spice Girls days, she emphasized that she’s remained grounded and true to her roots. She also shared that she’s always longed for acceptance, something she’s felt since she was a child.

The trailer briefly showed her shift from singing to designing clothes, and another designer, Tom, admitted that many people initially doubted her ability to succeed in fashion.

Desperate Housewives star Eva then reveals ‘everyone was warning her, ‘you will not be accepted”.

This documentary offers a rare, behind-the-scenes look at Victoria, her family, and the people she’s closest to.

Despite her sadness about her son Brooklyn distancing himself from the family, Victoria is still including him in her show, even though he wasn’t shown in the preview.

According to a source, the show will focus on Victoria’s fashion and beauty business, including the recent show in Paris where Brooklyn played a role. They’ve confirmed that Brooklyn will definitely appear in the series.

Brooklyn Beckham, husband of Nicola Peltz, will appear in the docuseries alongside his younger brothers, Romeo, 23, and Cruz, 20.

The actors will appear in scenes related to the world of fashion. One scene reportedly shows Cruz getting measured for a suit as preparation for his mother’s fashion show.

Victoria shared in an interview with Harper’s Bazaar that the moment happened naturally. She explained that David was watching on a monitor in another room and simply peeked his head in.

‘It was not rehearsed. Like the dancing in the tent. None of it was rehearsed.’
