Eva Longoria touched down in the U.S. this week to promote her new docuseries Necaxa.
Eva Longoria, 50, has been living overseas, dividing her time between Mexico and Spain with her husband, José Bastón, and their seven-year-old son, Santiago.
On Wednesday, she appeared on Good Morning America to discuss her new show, which documents her experience as a co-owner of the Mexican soccer team Club Necaxa and her work to improve the team’s performance. It’s a similar story to the one made famous by Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, who gained attention for buying and revitalizing the Welsh club Wrexham.
Ryan and Rob are also investors in Necaxa, and Longoria shared the advice they gave her when she became involved with the team.
Eva explained on ABC that people warned her to expect disappointment, because sports are naturally full of highs and lows – a real emotional ride.
The actress shared her thoughts on what happened to her famous character, Gaby Solis, after the show *Desperate Housewives* ended over ten years ago.
Eva Longoria joked that Gaby, if she were around today, would definitely be an influencer, and might even have been the very first one to focus on fashion.
She didn’t stop there — Longoria also dished on Bree Van de Kamp, played by Marcia Cross.
‘And Bree too, Bree would have probably been the first Martha Stewart,’ she added with a laugh.

The couple started dating in 2013 and married three years later. The actress shared that a key to their lasting relationship is that they avoid competing for attention.
In a recent interview with DailyMail.com, the Only Murders In The Building star shared that her partner makes her laugh, is very supportive, and encourages her in all her endeavors.
‘I support him in everything he does. We don’t compete for attention or spotlight.’
Because she’s a face of L’Oréal Paris, she naturally needs to stay visible in the public eye.
Her husband prefers to stay out of the public eye, and has even asked her not to include him in her posts on social media.
Eva continued: ‘He loves for me to be on the red carpet. It’s one place he hates and he hates it.
He really dislikes Instagram and always asks me not to post pictures of him on it. That’s why you won’t find him on my social media. I occasionally try to sneak a photo in, though.
This Beverly Hills visit was a special occasion for the couple, as Eva has been traveling abroad quite a bit lately.
Shortly after the U.S. elections last year, she gained attention for openly discussing her reasons for moving.
The Texas-born resident, who had lived in Los Angeles for most of their adult life, mentioned in an interview that the atmosphere in California had begun to change even before the COVID-19 pandemic began.

However, she’d actually bought a house in Marbella in 2023, and sources revealed in April 2024 that she was planning to move overseas.
According to a source who spoke with the Daily Mail, the couple wants to raise their son in a natural and beautiful environment, away from the pressures of the Hollywood lifestyle.
They’re relocating to Spain permanently and couldn’t be happier. She feels she’s achieved everything she hoped for in Hollywood.
Despite this, people speculated that political motivations were behind her choice, a suggestion Longoria later denied.
She even phoned into The View: Behind the Table podcast, determined to set the record straight.
Eva wanted to make it clear she hadn’t left Spain because of Donald Trump. She explained that she’d been working in Europe for nearly three years.
