Neil Patrick Harris’ fraternal twins, 14, make rare red carpet appearance with dad David Burtka

Neil Patrick Harris received enthusiastic encouragement from his family as the Broadway production of the comedy ‘Art’ opened.

Harris walked the red carpet with his twins, Harper Grace and Gideon Scott Burtka-Harris.

The twins, who are 14, generally stay out of the spotlight compared to their well-known parents, Harris and David Burtka. However, they did attend Harris’ new play, making a rare public appearance.

He’s appearing in a new production of the play alongside James Corden and Bobby Cannavale, and early reviews have been very positive.

Yasmina Reza’s play revolves around three friends whose bond is strained when one of them purchases a minimalist, almost entirely white painting, leading to arguments and resentment.

Neil looked sharp in a shiny black shirt, a patterned black jacket, and black pants. His husband, David, complemented him with a black suit, loafers, and a golden knit tie.

Gideon looked sharp in a black suit without a tie, completing the look with black and white loafers. Harper wore a cheerful yellow dress and tall black boots.

Neil and David welcomed their children on October 12, 2010 via surrogate. 

In August 2010, the actor revealed the news at the time via Twitter, now known as X.

David and I are expecting twins this fall, and we’re incredibly excited – and a little nervous! He shared the news on Twitter.

Two months later, Neil announced the birth of their children.

We’re all doing well, though a bit exhausted and feeling slightly queasy. Harper’s been a little cranky, but Gideon is a remarkably easygoing baby. They’re just beginning to get to know us and are starting to smile, which is wonderful!

Neil and David met in passing on the street, and went on their first day in April 2004.

The couple announced they were engaged in June 2011, shortly after New York City legalized same-sex marriage. They later revealed they had actually gotten engaged four years earlier, in 2007.

David proposed to Neil at the spot where they first met in 2007, and Neil reciprocated with his own proposal on Valentine’s Day in 2008.

They tied the knot in Italy on September 6, 2014. 

In April 2024, Neil and David celebrated their 20th anniversary of their first date.

Joe Cannavale went with a really sharp navy suit and a slim blue sweater, and James Corden was classic in a black suit with those cool peaked lapels, paired with a matching black sweater. They both looked fantastic!

Jodie Foster turned heads when she arrived wearing a spotted burgundy blouse, dark slacks, and black loafers.

Goldie Hawn appeared vibrant and stylish in a black polka-dot top paired with a black shrug. She completed her look with edgy sunglasses and a statement black necklace.

Paul Rudd, known for his role as an Avenger, looked happy and stylish in a relaxed gray linen suit, black loafers, and a striped tie.

Auli’i Cravalho, the voice of Moana, looked chic in a classic little black dress paired with strappy black heels. The dress featured a captivating pattern.

Broadway veterans Andrea Martin and Nathan Lane posed together at opening night.

She chose a classic charcoal suit with sharp lapels and a white blouse. Lane, on the other hand, wore a navy velvet jacket over a black shirt, leaving his tie behind.

Anna Wintour turned heads in a vibrant, floor-length maxi dress featuring bold fuchsia flowers on a bright green background.

She posed for a photo with Bee Carrozzini, whose vibrant dress-covered in colorful patches-stood out on the black carpet.

Broadway producer Jordan Roth completed the star-studded looks with a unique outfit: a cream-colored dress designed to appear as if it was still being fitted, complete with visible stitching patterns.
