2025 Latin Grammy nominations are in: Bad Bunny leads the way

After a three-year break, the Latin Grammy Awards are returning to Las Vegas, and the nominations are now official.

The leading nominees this year are Bad Bunny with 12 nominations, followed by Edgar Barrera, Ca7riel & Paco Amoroso, Rafa Arcaute, Natalia Lafourcade, and Federico Vindver, each with 10 or 8 nominations.

The awards show will take place on November 13th at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, and will be broadcast live on Univision.

Bad Bunny received 12 nominations this year, bringing his career total to 52. Natalia Lafourcade earned eight nominations, and with 18 wins already, she’s the female artist with the most awards from the show.

Edgar Barrera received eight more award nominations, increasing his all-time record to 72 nominations and 24 wins. Alejandro Sanz, a Spanish artist, also earned four nominations this year, bringing his career total to 51.

Now that voting is underway, De Los assistant editor Suzy Exposito and writer Ernesto Lechner are sharing their predictions.

This November, we’re excited to launch our new Visual Media field, including a new award category called Music for Visual Media. This will recognize outstanding music composed for film and television. We’re also adding a Best Roots Song category to this year’s awards.

As a big movie buff, I love seeing fresh faces get recognized, and it’s the same with music! This year, a bunch of artists who are new to the awards scene – I’ve actually read about them before in De Los’ work – are up for major honors. We’re talking about Fuerza Regida, Ca7riel & Paco Amoroso, Ivan Cornejo, and Judeline – seriously exciting to see them getting this kind of attention.

As a huge Bad Bunny fan, I was really excited to see the songwriting credits for “Baile Inolvidable.” It turns out a whole crew of talented people contributed – Marco Daniel Borrero, Antonio Caraballo, Kaled Elikai Rivera Cordova, Julio Gaston, Armando Josue Lopez, Jay Anthony Nuñez, Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio (that’s Bad Bunny himself!), and Roberto Jose Rosado Torres. It’s cool to see so many names behind such a hit!
