Jason Bateman supported by his on-screen wife Laura Linney and daughter Sofia Hublitz in Ozark reunion at his new drama Black Rabbit’s New York premiere

Jason Bateman attended the premiere of Black Rabbit on Tuesday, where he met up with his Ozark co-stars Laura Linney and Sofia Hublitz, who played his wife and daughter on the show.

The 56-year-old actor, currently starring in a new Netflix series, was joined by former colleagues at a celebratory event in New York.

Jason dressed in all black for the evening, pairing a t-shirt with a smart, single-breasted suit.

Sofia Hublitz, who played Charlotte Byrde in the show, also wore a black suit to the premiere.

The star, 25, could be seeing posing for pictures with Jason at the premiere’s glitzy after party.

Sixty-one-year-old Laura looked incredibly glamorous and sophisticated in a shimmering silver suit as the cameras flashed.

The trio were all smiles as they then came together for group snaps.

Ozark, which ran for four series on Netflix, came to an end in 2022, leaving fans devastated.

Bateman starred as a financial advisor turned money launderer for a ruthless Mexican drug cartel.

He relocated his family, including his teenage children, from Chicago to the countryside of Missouri, and they quickly became involved with the local criminal element, including Ruth Langmore from the Garner family.

During its run, the series received a total of 32 Primetime Emmy Award nominations.

Oh my gosh, the Emmys! They were *so* deserving of all the recognition! They actually got nominated twice for Best Drama Series, which, hello, obvious! But it wasn’t just that – Jason Bateman *finally* won for directing in 2019, and Julia Garner? She swept the floor, winning Best Supporting Actress *twice*, in both 2019 and 2020! I was screaming both times, seriously!

In his latest project, Jason acts with Jude Law, portraying brothers Vince and Jake Friedkin who are both facing difficult challenges.

Jude plays the role of a restaurant owner whose business is about to become the most popular in New York City.

But then his brother suddenly came back to work, and his return caused problems that could ruin the whole company.

Black Rabbit also stars Amaka Okafor, Troy Kotsur, Abbey Lee and Cleopatra Coleman.

Jason was photographed with his family in New York earlier this week, as they attended the premiere with him.

He was seen with his wife Amanda Anka, 56, and their daughters Francesca, 18, and Maple, 13.

Jason married Anka – who is the daughter of Anne de Zogheb and singer Paul Anka – on July 3, 2001.

He’s received an Emmy and a Golden Globe award, and his directing work has also earned him a nomination from the Directors Guild of America.

Throughout the 1990s, Bateman battled with alcohol and drug addiction. He explained in a 2009 interview that after working so diligently from a young age, he felt a strong desire to enjoy himself and let loose by the time he turned 20.

‘And I did that really well… it was like Risky Business for ten years.’
