eFootball 2026 Show Time Rising Prodigies (Cubarsi, Cherki, Neves) pack review

KONAMI has released a new pack for eFootball 2026 called Rising Prodigies, highlighting promising young players like Pau Cubarsí, Rayan Cherki, and Joao Neves. The pack features players with high potential who are still growing and improving both in real life and within the game.

It’s great to see new, promising cards being highlighted, but it makes you wonder how well they’ll stack up against the powerful cards we’ve already gotten this season. Let me take a closer look and tell you if this pack is worth buying.

eFootball 2026 Show Time Rising Prodigies Players

Rayan Cherki

  • Position: AMF
  • Playing Style: Classic No. 10
  • Show Time Skill: Blitz Curler and Phenomenal Pass

Okay, as a player, let me tell you, Cherki is all about showing off! He’s a flashy player who’s amazing at making highlights. Seriously, the way he controls the ball is so smooth, and he can just spin right past defenders. Skill moves come naturally to him, it’s like he’s built for it. And the best part? His dribbling is incredible, and with 90+ pace, he can really take off when he needs to. He’s just fun to play with!

This player’s ‘Blitz Curler’ ability makes cutting inside incredibly effective and enjoyable, letting you score fantastic finesse goals. His passing, rated in the high 80s, is incredibly smooth and accurate, allowing him to easily deliver passes to strikers even in crowded areas. A major strength is that he doesn’t have a weak foot.

His biggest weakness is his stamina – he tires out quickly. While his physical play isn’t a problem, opponents can take advantage of him if they maintain possession. He’s a fantastic player to bring off the bench, offering two valuable skill sets and impressive stats.

Pau Cubarsí

  • Position: CB
  • Playing Style: Build Up
  • Show Time Skill: Visionary Pass and Fortress

Cubarsí is a remarkably composed central defender who is very comfortable with the ball at his feet – a rare quality for players in his position. He doesn’t just defend; his impressive passing range allows him to quickly and accurately distribute the ball forward. He’s a smart and reliable tackler who focuses on good positioning rather than risky challenges, providing a sense of security to the defense.

I get why some players might worry about his speed, but the auto build actually gives him around 80 pace, which is solid. You can even boost that closer to 90 without messing up his defensive stats. My main concern, though, is that he just doesn’t have a lot of raw strength.

This defender isn’t known for aggressively challenging opponents or winning battles in the air, unlike many top-tier center-backs. However, pairing him with a more aggressive, ‘Destroyer’ type center-back can cover his weaknesses. It’s also disappointing he doesn’t have defensive skills like ‘Aerial Fort’ or ‘Long-Range Tackle’. Giving him skills like ‘Heading’ and ‘Acrobatic Clearance’ would significantly improve his performance.

João Neves

  • Position: CMF
  • Playing Style: Box To Box
  • Show Time Skill: Long-Range Tackle

Neves is a fantastic midfielder who brings a lot of energy and a strong presence to the game. He’s constantly running, aggressively pressing opponents, and covering a lot of ground – he’s a true workhorse for any team. He’s also a smooth dribbler and physically built to maintain good ball control.

He’s a strong passer, capable of creating opportunities. Defensively, he consistently performs well. His Long-Range Tackle skill is particularly effective, allowing him to win the ball cleanly, even when pursuing opponents from behind.

He’s not physically strong enough to easily hold off larger midfielders, and his shooting isn’t a particular strength. While it’s a shame his shooting isn’t better – because ‘box-to-box’ players can often score goals – he’s still good at turning and creating plays. A ‘playmaker’ style would have been a better fit for his abilities.

Verdict on the eFootball 2026 Epic Italian League Guardians players

These three cards are all useful and offer something different depending on how you like to play, but they aren’t essential upgrades. This set feels more like it’s building towards future possibilities than immediately improving your team.

Cubarsi and Cherki are both powerful cards. However, considering what’s currently popular in the game, I think Cubarsi would have been even better if it had received a Defensive Show Time skill instead of Fortress. That one change would have significantly improved the value of this card pack.

Pack Rating: 2 out of 5
