Birkenstock 1774, the brand’s premium line, has launched a new initiative called ENSEMBLE 1774. Based in a Paris studio, ENSEMBLE 1774 will bring together talented designers to update and reimagine Birkenstock’s classic styles. The first collection features three unique designs created by footwear designer Thibo Denis, who has previously worked with Dior and Louis Vuitton.

This collection centers around the concept of “climbing the city,” with colors drawn from the Yosemite landscape of the 1970s. It builds on Birkenstock’s classic style by blending sporty energy with an outdoor feel. The collection includes three new shoe designs, starting with the Uerzell – a comfortable slip-on mule available in taupe, plasma, or maroon. Made with soft suede and a cork footbed, and featuring delicate laces, the Uerzell offers a contemporary take on the traditional sandal.

The collection includes the Stroedt, a sleek, lace-up shoe inspired by classic Birkenstock sandals, featuring a single strap detail. It’s available in black, bone, and plasma, offering both practicality and a simple design. The Goerlitz, also part of the line, is a more substantial shoe crafted from soft suede and comes in black, brown, and mink. Both styles showcase Birkenstock’s signature bone pattern on the sole and a blue 1774 logo, highlighting the brand’s commitment to quality and detail.
