eFootball 2026 Show Time Rising Prodigies (Cubarsi, Cherki, Neves) pack review

KONAMI has released a new pack for eFootball 2026 called Rising Prodigies, showcasing promising young players like Pau Cubarsí, Rayan Cherki, and Joao Neves. The pack highlights players with high potential who are still growing their skills in both real life and the game.

It’s great to see new, promising cards being highlighted, but it makes you wonder if they’ll actually be as useful as the cards we’ve already gotten this season. Let me take a closer look and tell you whether or not this pack is worth buying.

eFootball 2026 Show Time Rising Prodigies Players

Rayan Cherki

  • Position: AMF
  • Playing Style: Classic No. 10
  • Show Time Skill: Blitz Curler and Phenomenal Pass

Cherki is a flashy, skill-focused player. He’s incredibly smooth on the ball, making it easy to beat defenders with quick turns and skillful moves. This card excels at dribbling and boasts impressive speed, allowing for fast bursts down the field.

This player’s ‘Blitz Curler’ ability makes cutting inside incredibly effective and allows for really satisfying finesse goals. With his passing in the high 80s, the ball feels accurate and smooth, letting him easily pick out strikers even in crowded areas. A major strength is that he doesn’t have a weak foot.

His main weakness is stamina – he tires out quickly. While he’s physically strong, opponents can take advantage of him if they maintain possession. However, he’s a fantastic player to bring off the bench, offering a powerful combination of skills and impressive stats.

Pau Cubarsí

  • Position: CB
  • Playing Style: Build Up
  • Show Time Skill: Visionary Pass and Fortress

Cubarsí is a remarkably composed central defender who is very comfortable with the ball at his feet – a quality not often seen in today’s game. He’s not just a defender who stops opponents; his excellent passing range allows him to quickly distribute the ball forward. He’s a smart tackler who focuses on positioning and avoids unnecessary, risky challenges, providing a lot of stability to the defense.

Players might worry about his speed, but the auto-build gives him a decent pace in the 80s, which can be improved to nearly 90 without sacrificing his defensive stats. His main weakness, though, is a lack of physical strength.

This defender isn’t as physically imposing as top-tier center-backs – he doesn’t intimidate opponents or excel in aerial duels. However, pairing him with a more aggressive, ball-winning defender could cover those weaknesses. I also think it’s a drawback that he lacks special defensive abilities like Aerial Fortitude or Long-Range Tackling. Adding the Heading and Acrobatic Clearance skills to his skillset would be a significant improvement.

João Neves

  • Position: CMF
  • Playing Style: Box To Box
  • Show Time Skill: Long-Range Tackle

Ruben Neves is a dynamic, high-energy midfielder who excels at covering a lot of ground. He’s constantly moving, aggressively pressing opponents, and provides a strong presence in the center of the field. He’s also a skillful dribbler with a good physique for maintaining possession.

He’s a very skilled passer, capable of creating opportunities. Defensively, he consistently performs well. His long-range tackling ability is particularly effective, allowing him to win the ball cleanly, even when trying to catch up to opponents.

He’s not physically strong enough to easily hold off larger midfielders, and his shooting isn’t a standout skill. While he could have been a good goal-scoring threat with a different card type, he’s still effective at turning and creating plays. A playmaker style would have been a better fit for his abilities.

Verdict on the eFootball 2026 Epic Italian League Guardians players

These three cards are all useful and offer something different depending on how you like to play, but none of them are essential or dramatically improve your game immediately. This set feels more like an investment for the future than a way to instantly upgrade your team.

Cubarsi and Cherki are both excellent players, but considering what’s popular in the game right now, I think Cubarsi would have been more impactful with a Defensive Show Time skill instead of Fortress. That change would have significantly improved the value of this pack.

Pack Rating: 2 out of 5
