Invincible Season 4: New Photo Seemingly Spoils Major Villain Twist

A leaked photo from the making of *Invincible* Season 4 might have revealed a significant plot twist. The Amazon Prime Video series, which is based on Robert Kirkman’s 144-issue comic (*The Walking Dead* creator), is still only halfway through its story. Season 4, expected to arrive in early 2026, will likely reach the middle of the narrative and introduce new villains, as well as begin adapting the highly anticipated Viltrumite War – a crucial moment in the overall story.

In the third season, the main conflict revolved around Mark Grayson (Invincible) battling Conquest, played by Jeffrey Dean Morgan. Though Invincible and Atom Eve (Gilliam Jacobs) seemingly won the fight in the season finale, a scene after the credits revealed Conquest is still alive and being held prisoner under the Earth by Cecil (Walton Goggins).

With the release of *Invincible* Season 4 approaching next year, a photo allegedly from the show’s crew has appeared on Reddit. The image seems to hint at a significant event from the comic books being adapted, suggesting a major and fairly predictable storyline will be included in the new season.

The shirt seems to be inspired by a dramatic moment from the Viltrumite War in *Invincible*, where Viltrum was intentionally destroyed by Mark, Omni-Man, and Thaddeus as a key part of their battle plan.

During the 75th issue of the war between the Coalition of Planets and the Viltrumite Empire, Viltrum was destroyed. The plan started with Space Racer, who used his special weapon to weaken Viltrum’s center, making it susceptible to attack.

Invincible, Omni-Man, and Thaddeus flew directly into the heart of Viltrum, which was already falling apart, and completely destroyed the planet.

I just saw the new Season 4 crew shirt, and it’s really cool! It features a panel from *Invincible* showing a crater on Viltrum – it looks like a scene right as everything starts getting destroyed on the other side of the planet. It’s a great design!

Fans of the *Invincible* comic book know this win won’t be complete. The story also ends with Thragg-one of the five villains planned for Season 4-brutally killing Thaddeus by beheading him.

Fans predicted Viltrum’s destruction even before the recent merchandise for *Invincible* Season 4 hinted at it.

As a huge fan, I’ve been eagerly anticipating the next season! The epic Viltrumite War, which spans issues #71 to #78 – including the devastating destruction of the planet in issue #75 – is definitely coming to Season 4. Since the show has covered up to issue #65 in Season 3, it was pretty obvious this incredible storyline would be the focus of the eight new episodes.

Invincible Season 4 Is Still Hiding 1 Big Surprise

As most fans know, the animated series *Invincible* closely follows its original comic book story. Because of this, those familiar with the comics won’t be surprised to learn that the epic Viltrumite War – and the fate of Viltrum and Thaddeus – is coming soon.

As a huge fan of *Invincible*, I’m so excited for Season 4! It’s going to cover the big Viltrumite War and the fall of Viltrum, which we all know from the comics. But here’s the really cool part: Robert Kirkman has revealed they’re adding a storyline that *wasn’t* in the original comics – something he calls a “going to Hell” arc. He decided it was too good to leave out, so get ready for a completely new and unexpected twist!
