Hannah Einbinder has revealed that season five of the beloved HBO comedy Hacks will be its last.
The 30-year-old actress announced the news while attending the Emmy Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday evening.
Wearing a beautiful silver sequin dress with black pearls from Louis Vuitton, she told E! that the event would have a different vibe this year.
We’re beginning filming next week, and it feels both exciting and sad knowing this is the final season. But I honestly believe it’s the right decision.
She explained that she believes in doing things as often as necessary, but also emphasized the importance of knowing when to stop. She described it as fully experiencing life – embracing both joy and sadness – and then moving on.
Recently, Einbinder faced criticism for addressing political issues during her Emmys acceptance speech, with even the Department of Homeland Security responding to her remarks.
The speaker expressed support for the Philadelphia Eagles (‘Go Birds’) and voiced strong opposition to U.S. immigration enforcement (‘F ICE’) and showed solidarity with Palestinians (‘Free Palestine’).

Despite receiving upsetting news earlier in the evening, Einbinder finished the night as a winner, taking home the Emmy for Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series for her performance as Ava Daniels.
The comedian delivered some laughs when she accepted the honor.
She explained to the audience that she had convinced herself it was better to keep losing, a mindset she’d developed after experiencing three previous defeats.
‘I was pretty committed to that. But this is cool too. This is also punk rock.’
She expressed immense gratitude to the team behind Hacks, saying they’ve profoundly impacted her life – not only by providing her with a wonderful job opportunity, but also by becoming her close friends and a second family.
Einbinder choked up when she spoke of her co-star, Jean Smart, 74, who had a great night as well.
The actress received her third Emmy Award for playing the sharp-tongued comedian Deborah Vance in a comedy series.
She expressed her gratitude for Jean Smart, describing her as a radiant and inspiring presence, and also thanked everyone involved in the making of Hacks.

Einbinder then got political commenting on the political climate in the US and abroad.
I’ll cover the remaining cost, my apologies. Also, I want to express my support for the Philadelphia Eagles and my solidarity with both the people of Palestine and those opposing current US immigration policies.
The ‘difference’ referred to a penalty Nate Bargatze, the show’s host, had set: winners would be fined for each second they spoke over the time limit.
It’s estimated she owes about $10,000 to the Boys and Girls Clubs.
Einbinder’s statement was very well-received, and she might not be responsible for the full cost herself.
A GoFundMe was started on her behalf soon after, according to Deadline.
CBS successfully censored the swear word before it aired, and it doesn’t seem they’ll face a penalty because of it.
