TL nAts at Champions 2025: “It is time to understand what happened and bring back the usual nAts to the next match”

TSM lost to DRX and now needs to win against EDG to avoid elimination at Champions 2025. After the match, players discussed what led to their defeat.

Team Liquid lost to DRX in a close match on September 13th at the VALORANT Champions 2025 tournament, eliminating them from the Upper Bracket. DRX won both maps, advancing in the competition. Team Liquid will now face the defending champions, EDG, in an elimination match on September 19th, 2025. After the game, Team Liquid discussed what led to their loss and talked about the difficult challenge ahead.

What failed?

After their loss to DRX at Champions 2025, both the players and coach of TL expressed confusion about what went wrong. TL’s Ayaz “nAts” Akhmetshin stated he wasn’t sure why they performed poorly and that they needed to identify the issues to improve for their next match. Head coach Ivo “LohaN” Albino agreed, saying they would thoroughly review the game to pinpoint exactly what didn’t work.

Despite the setback, the team’s in-game leader is optimistic they can figure things out and win. He believes they just need to focus on their own gameplay and analyze their mistakes in order to overcome EDG and stay in contention for the Champions 2025 title. As nAts explained, ‘We just need to play our game in the next match and take time to understand what went wrong.’

Team Liquid’s in-game leader expressed disappointment that either their team or EDG’s CHICHOO would have to leave the tournament. CHICHOO is a known admirer of nAts, which created a positive and heartwarming moment for VALORANT fans. He added that he expects an exciting match and is eager to see how it unfolds.

Ahead of the year’s biggest VALORANT tournament, coach Ivo “LohaN” Albino discussed how much preparation time teams have, noting it significantly affects their performance. He explained that different regions have varying amounts of time to prepare, and while his team didn’t have much, he wasn’t offering that as a reason for their result. LohaN ultimately felt the team just didn’t perform at their usual level, stating preparation wasn’t the main problem.
