As a huge fan, I basically tried to figure out what everyone wanted from this movie and then pitched my ideas to Marvel. Luckily, they agreed, and that’s exactly what we’re doing now! Getting to be involved in the development process like this has been amazing – it’s the first time I’ve ever had that kind of creative input. It’s definitely been stressful, but honestly, now that we’re actually filming, everything feels incredible. We’re capturing something truly special, and I think fans are going to love it!
The new Spider-Man movie, *Spider-Man: Brand New Day*, is scheduled to come out on July 31, 2026. Tom Holland will star alongside his fiancée, Zendaya, and the film will be directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, known for directing *Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings* for Marvel.

Though the plot is being kept under wraps, Tom Holland has hinted at what viewers can expect. He mentioned on *Good Morning America* in October 2024 that the concept is unique and unlike anything they’ve done previously, and he believes fans will love it.
Holland revealed that he and Zendaya had already seen some early versions of the script, and they both really liked it. He shared on The Rich Roll podcast that while it still needed some refining, the writers were doing a fantastic job, and reading it had excited him greatly.

“Zendaya and I sat down, read it together, and we at times were bouncing around the living room.”
Jon Bernthal (as Frank Castle), Michael Mando (as Scorpion), and Mark Ruffalo (as Bruce Banner) will return in the Marvel Cinematic Universe project. Sadie Sink has also joined the cast, and rumors suggest she may play Jean Grey. Lisa Colón-Zayas, known for her role in *The Bear*, is also set to appear.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day will land in cinemas on 31 July 2026.
