Beyoncé has already won an Emmy Award, and her performance at the Super Bowl halftime show, inspired by her album “Cowboy Carter,” could earn her another one during the broadcast.
Let me tell you, Beyoncé finally snagged an Emmy this August, and it’s well-deserved! She won for the incredible costumes in her ‘Renaissance’ tour concert film, sharing the award with her talented design team: Shiona Turini, Erica Rice, Molly Peters, Chelsea Staebell, and Timothy White. It wasn’t a surprise win, though – the Emmys announced these juried awards ahead of time. ‘Beyoncé Bowl,’ as it’s been dubbed, was nominated for five Emmys total, including choreography, production design, and directing. We already saw some of those winners announced at the Creative Arts Emmys last week, but for now, ‘Beyoncé Bowl’ has just that single win to its name. Still, a fantastic achievement!

Beyoncé could still win an Emmy for her live variety special, with the awards presented during Sunday’s prime-time ceremony in Los Angeles. She’s competing against several popular events, including Kendrick Lamar’s Super Bowl halftime show, the 2025 Oscars, and two specials celebrating the 50th anniversary of Saturday Night Live. Last week, Kendrick Lamar already won an Emmy for his work on the Super Bowl show, while the SNL anniversary specials and the Oscars also took home awards.
Beyoncé made history with the first-ever halftime show for an NFL Christmas Day game. Filmed in her hometown of Houston at NRG Stadium during the Houston Texans versus Baltimore Ravens game, the performance showcased songs from her album “Cowboy Carter,” including hits like “16 Carriages,” “Texas Hold ’Em,” and her versions of “Blackbird” and “Jolene.” The 13-minute show also featured special guests like Post Malone and Shaboozey. Music critic Mikael Wood described it as an exciting performance from start to finish.

I’ve been a fan of Beyoncé for so long, and I was thrilled to finally see her win an Emmy! She’s been nominated before – I remember watching ‘Homecoming’ which showed her incredible Coachella show, and of course ‘Lemonade’ was amazing. She also got nominated for her tour with Jay-Z and even for her Super Bowl performance years ago. It was about time she finally took home the win!
