Though Andor recently concluded in early 2025, a popular character from the show is already appearing in a new Star Wars project. The Disney+ series brought a lot of fresh faces to the Star Wars universe, and fans quickly fell in love with them. Now, one of those characters is confirmed to return before the year is out.

The new trailer for season two of the Disney+ series, *LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy*, revealed that the character K-2SO from *Andor* will appear. This marks K-2SO’s first appearance in a Star Wars show since *Andor* season one.
The trailer showed K-2SO with red eyes, hinting that he’ll be a villain in the upcoming story, *Pieces of the Past*. Many viewers also noticed that his voice sounds very much like it did in *Andor* and *Rogue One*, where the character first appeared.
Alan Tudyk reprised his role as the voice of K-2SO in the LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy special, according to the official Star Wars website.
We’re excited to announce that Alan Tudyk will be returning as K-2SO in the series. Fans got a glimpse of the character in the trailer, where he appeared with glowing red eyes.
It’s currently unknown how big a part Alan Tudyk will have in *Pieces of the Past*. He only appeared for a short moment in the trailer, but he did reprise his voice acting role, so he might show up more often throughout the series.
A new four-part Disney+ series called *LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy: Pieces of the Past* will premiere on September 19, 2025.

Other Notable Star Wars Characters Returning in Rebuild the Galaxy

Alan Tudyk, who voiced K-2SO, isn’t the only familiar face appearing in *LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy: Pieces of the Past*. The series will also include many other major characters and actors from the Star Wars universe.
Mark Hamill is returning as Luke Skywalker, which is exciting news for fans. As one of the original stars of the very first *Star Wars* movie, his return is generating a lot of buzz for the new series.
Anthony Daniels, one of the original *Star Wars* actors, is returning as C-3PO. He’s played the character since 1977 and has appeared in *Star Wars* films and shows from every period of the franchise, just like Mark Hamill.
Good news for fans: Sam Witwer will return as Maul, and he’ll even be the focus of a new animated series on Disney+ in 2026. The cast also includes Kelly Marie Tran as Rose Tico, Ashley Eckstein as Ahsoka Tano (who will also star in her own Disney+ show in 2026), and Cameron Monaghan as Cal Kestis.
